Abstract
TEETH BRUSHING BEHAVIOR AND OVERVIEW OF DENTAL AND ORAL HYGIENE IN 5TH-GRADE STUDENTS OF SD KRISTEN HARAPAN DENPASAR YEARS 2019 Behavior is one of the important factors which affects a person’s health status. The indicator of community behavior in protecting dental and oral health is a tooth brushing. The aim of this study is to figure out the tooth brushing and overview of dental and oral hygiene in 5th-grade students of SD Kristen Harapan Denpasar in 2019. The data were analyzed in a descriptive, qualitative manner. The respondents of this research were 65 students. The result of this study showed that most students had tooth brushing behaviorin guidance criteria, namely 43 students. The percentage of students tooth brushing behavior 12 students in excellent criteria, 4 students in good criteria, and 6 students in sufficient criteria. Percentage of dental and oral hygiene level in 5th-grade students of SD Kristen Harapan Denpasar with good criteria of 55 students (84,6%), the percentage of students who have oral and dental hygiene levels with moderate criteria of 10 students, and no students have a percentage level of oral and dental exclusion with poor criteria. From the study, it can be concluded that most students had tooth brushing in guidance criteria with good dental and oral health.
