Abstract
Health is the most important part of human life, physically and mentally healthy. Health that needs to be considered in addition to general health is dental and oral health. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of knowledge about dental and oral hygiene and OHI-S in the dental service of Rahayu Denpasar Panti in 2019. This type of research is descriptive research with survey design. Data analysis was performed statistically univariate in the form of percentages and averages. This research was carried out in dental sevice of Rahayu Denpasar in 2019, with 30 respondents. The results of the study were the level of dental and oral health knowledge with a good category of 23.33%, enough category of 50% in the less category 26.76%. The average level of knowledge of dental and oral health is 63. The percentage of OHl-S with good criteria is 20%, medium criteria are 70%, bad criteria are 10% and the average OHI-S is 1.95 medium criteria. It can be concluded that the average level knowledge of patients visiting at Dental service of Rahayu Denpasar with a value 63. The average OHI-S of patients visiting at Dental service of Panti Rahayu is of medium criteria. Key Word: Knowledge, OHI-S, Dental and Oral Hygine
