Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF HOLD RELAX THERAPY TO REDUCE PAIN INTENSITY IN PATIENTS WITH OSTEOARTHRITIS KNEE HEALTH CENTER DAWAN I KLUNGKUNG DISTRICT ABSTRACK Osteoarthritis is one of the most common forms of arthritis that occurs in millions of people throughout the world, this occurs because the protective cartilage that protects the ends of the bones wears away over time. Osteoarthritis often occurs among women with joint symptoms, a sensation of joint stiffness and pain. To reduce the intensity of pain in knee osteoarthritis patients, physical therapy needs to be done, namely using the hold relax technique. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of pain management by providing physical therapy with the hold relax technique to patients with knee osteoarthritis at the Dawan I Community Health Center, Klungkung Regency. Data was collected through interview methods, pain scale measurements and observations which were arranged in nursing care and presented narratively. The results of this study show that the application of physical therapy with the hold relax technique with 3x30 minute implementation is able to reduce the pain scale. This can be seen from before the hold relax therapy was carried out, the average result was 6.3 and after the hold relax therapy was carried out it decreased to an average of 5.6. Apart from that, applying hold relax therapy can also reduce feelings of restlessness and reduce difficulty sleeping. It is hoped that the results of this research will become a reference for innovative interventions to treat osteoarthritis knee patients with chronic pain problems. Keywords: Osteoarthritis, Pain, Hold Relax IMPLEMENTASI TERAPI HOLD RELAX TERHADAP PENURUNAN INTENSITAS NYERI PADA PASIEN DENGAN OSTEOARTHRITIS KNEE PUSKESMAS DAWAN I KABUPATEN KLUNGKUNG ABSTRAK Osteoarthritis merupakan salah satu penyakit bentuk arthritis yang paling umum terjadi pada jutaan orang diseluruh dunia, hal tersebut terjadi karena terkikisnya tulang rawan pelindung yang melindungi ujung tulang mengalami pengikisan seiring waktu. Osteoarthritis sering terjadi pada kalangan wanita dengan gejala persendian sensasi kekakuan sendi dan rasa nyeri. Untuk menurunkan intensitas nyeri pada pasien osteoarthritis knee perlu dilakukan terapi fisik yaitu dengan teknik hold relax. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi manajemen nyeri dengan memberikan terapi fisik teknik hold relax pada pasien dengan osteoarthritis knee di Puskesmas Dawan I Kabupaten Klungkung. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode wawancara, pengukuran skala nyeri dan observasi yang disusun dalam suatu asuhan keperawatan dan disajikan secara naratif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan terapi fisik teknik hold relax dengan implementasi 3x30 menit mampu menurunkan skala nyeri, hal ini dapat dilihat dari sebelum dilakukan terapi hold relax didapat hasil rata rata 6,3 dan setelah dilakukan terapi hold relax, tingkat nyeri menurun menjadi rata rata 5,6. Selain itu, penerapan terapi hold relax ini juga mampu menurunkan perasaan gelisah dan menurunkan kesulitan tidur. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi acuan intervensi inovasi untuk menangani pasien osteoarthritis knee dengan masalah nyeri kronis. Kata Kunci : Osteoarthritis, Nyeri, Hold Relax
