Abstract

Coronary Heart Disease is a disorder of heart function due to heart muscle deficiency due to coronary vessel constriction. Dietary changes leading to fast food high in saturated fat, protein, and salt but low in dietary fiber may lead to the risk factor for Coronary Heart Disease. This study aims to determine the relationship between fat and fiber consumption level with lipid profile in patients with outpatient coronary heart disease at RSUP Sanglah Denpasar. This research uses cross-sectional design. The sample used was 86 patients with outpatient coronary heart disease aged 20-65 years. Sampling technique used consecutive sampling. Fat and fiber intake data were obtained through 24 Hour Recall Form technique. Data of lipid profile was obtained from medical record patient. The statistic test used Spearman Tests. Most sample with fat consumption level were not good 24.4%. Sample with fiber consumption level were not good 99%. Respondent with normal cholesterol level 66,7%, normal triglyceride 65,1%, normal HDL 1,2%, normal LDL 75,6%. Statistic test showed that there was no significant relationship between fat consumption level lipid cholesterol profiles (p = 0,916), HDL (p = 0,816), LDL (p = 0,502), and there was a significant association with triglycerides (p = 0.017). There was no significant association between fiber consumption level and lipid cholesterol profile (p = 0.955), triglycerides (p = 0,580), HDL (p = 0,540), LDL (p = 0.911). There was no significant association between fat and fiber consumption level with lipid profile in coronary heart disease patients at Sanglah Hospital Denpasar. Keywords: fat consumption level, fiber consumption level, lipid profile, coronary heart disease
