Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF RANDOM BLOOD GLUCOSE IN PATIENT WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS ABSTRACT Background: Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia associated with metabolic abnormalities of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Type 2 diabetes mellitus can be caused by many factors, such as physical activity, age, genetics, and diet. Method: This type of research is descriptive crosssectional with data collection techniques using secondary data obtained from 3 databases there were, repository: 1 journal, google scholar: 5 journals, and researchgate: 2 journals with sources sought from 2013 to 2019 in the form of research reports and reviews that discuss blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Results:. In the age group, the highest number of respondents was 41 years - 65 years, with the highest age range for random blood glucose at the age of 41 - 65 years, in the gender group the highest number of respondents was in the female sex with random blood glucose levels was highest in the group of respondents and blood glucose levels when Body Mass Index (BMI) occurred in the most overweight to obese , in the group of respondents and random blood glucose in physical activity was highest in respondents with mild to moderate physical activity. Conclusion: random blood glucose levels increased of the respondents in the age group 41-65 years, mostly in female sex, have mild - moderate physical activity, and have overweight - obesity BMI who also has random blood glucose levels to highest.
