Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF URINE PROTEIN LEVELS IN PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS PATIENTS UNDER THERAPY ANTI TUBERCULOSIS DRUG IN WORKING AREA PUSKESMAS I DENPASAR TIMUR ABSTRACT Tuberculosis, caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The patients must take anti-tuberculosis drugs regularly for a long time. Proteinuria, a condition of protein in urine, urine indicates kidney failure. This study aimed to determine urine protein levels in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis undergoing OAT theraphy at Puskesmas I Denpasar Timur based on age, gender, duration of treatment and type of drug consumed. This study uses descriptive with the examination sample morning urine. The population consisted of all tuberculosis patients undergoing OAT therapy with total sample 30 people. Method of examining urine protein uses dipstick. The results of this study showed that 24 people (80%) had negative urine protein, five people (17%) had positive urine protein (+1), and one person (3%) had positive urine protein (+2). Of the 30 respondents studied based on age characteristics with positive urine protein results occurring at the age of ≥ 50 years, based on gender,most cases in men, based on length of treatment occurred in patients taking category one drugs and during the advanced treatment stage. From this study, it is recommended for patients with pulmonary tuberculosis who are undergoing OAT theraphy to consume lots water, live healthy and routinely check themselves especially kidney function at nearest public health center Keywords: tuberculosis, urine protein, kidney function GAMBARAN PROTEIN URINE PADA PENDERITA TUBERKULOSIS PARU YANG SEDANG TERAPI OBAT ANTI TUBERKULOSIS (OAT) DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS I DENPASAR TIMUR ABSTRAK Tuberkulosis adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Dalam pengobatannya, penderita harus mengonsumsi Obat Anti Tuberkulosis (OAT) dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Proteinuria merupakan adanya protein dalam urine yang jumlahnya >150 mg/24 jam. Adanya protein urine diindikasi kuat terjadinya kegagalan ginjal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar protein urine pada penderita tuberkulosis paru yang sedang terapi OAT di wilayah kerja Puskesmas 1 Denpasar Timur berdasarkan umur, jenis kelamin, lama pengobatan dan jenis obat yang dikonsumsi. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan sampel pemeriksaan urine pagi. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh pasien tuberkulosis yang menjalani terapi OAT dengan sampel penelitian 30 orang. Metode pemeriksaan menggunakan carik celup (dipstick). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 24 orang (80%) memiliki protein urine negatif, 5 orang (17%) memiliki protein urine (+1) dan 1 orang (3%) memiliki protein urine (+2). Dari 30 responden yang diteliti berdasarkan karakteristik usia dengan hasil protein urine positif terjadi pada usia ≥50 tahun, berdasarkan jenis kelamin paling banyak terjadi pada laki-laki, penderita yang mengonsumsi obat kategori 1 dan pada masa tahap pengobatan lanjutan. Dari hasil penelitian, disarankan bagi penderita tuberkulosis paru yang sedang menjalani terapi OAT agar banyak mengonsumsi air putih, menjalani pola hidup sehat serta rutin memeriksakan diri terutama fungsi ginjal ke pelayanan kesehatan.
