Abstract
The problem of malnutrition in child is a national issue that needs to be top priority because it determines the quality of human resources for future generations. The purpose of this study to determine the corelation between the level of consumption of energy, protein, and zinc on malnutrition aged 6-24 months in Julah Village, Tejakula District, Buleleng Regency. This study is observational with cross-sectional research. The sample in this study was the entire population, namely 29 toddlers 6-24 months aged who were malnourished and recorded in Julah Village, Tejakula District, Buleleng Regency. This study uses univariate and bivariate analysis with chi square. The result of this study. The result of this study 75,9% of toddlers have low energy consumption levels, 69% of toddlers have low protein consumption levels, and 65.5% of toddlers have low zinc consumption levels. The nutritional status of toddlers shown the majority of toddlers have very underweight as much as 69%. Bivariate analysis shows that there is a corelation between energy, protein and zinc consumption levels in undernourished aged 6-24 months in Julah Village, Tejakula District, Buleleng Regency, Bali. To health workers to conduct counseling or training on infant and child feeding (IYCF) to mothers so they can provide food both in terms of type, frequency and quantity.
