Abstract

Acceptance is the patient's ability to finish the food served by the hospital which is one of the components for the patient's recovery. The level of patient acceptance can be seen from the patient's leftover food. Low patient acceptance will have an impact on the lack of intake of incoming nutrition and this will affect the patient's recovery time. One of the external faktors that can affect acceptability is the variety of food. The purpose of this study was to determine patient perceptions of food variations in dishes with the acceptance of inpatients at the Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) of Buleleng Regency. This type of research is a analytic observational study used a cross sectional design. The research sample was 54 people. Data processing was carried out using univariate and bivariate methods, and the statistical test used was Spearman's correlation statistical test. The results of the study explained that based on the perceptions of inpatients on the variety of food in the dish and the patient's perception of animal side dishes, vegetable side dishes, and vegetables was assessed as varied. The results of this study also mention that there is a relationship between patient perceptions of food variations in dishes and the acceptability of inpatients at Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah with p 0,00 <0,05. It is recommended for the nutritional installation of the Buleleng Regency Hospital to vary the menu of staple foods and fruit, so that patients don't feel bored and patient acceptance is getting better.
