Abstract
The incidence of obesity in adolescents is influenced by several factors, one of which is consumption patterns and physical activity.The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between fast food consumption patterns and physical activity with the incidence of obesity in children at SMPN 10 Denpasar. This type of research is observational, carried out in February 2023 at SMPN 10 Denpasar, with a sample involving 87 people. The sample was collected by technique usessimple random sampling and the method of determining the sample using Proporsional Random Sampling with the inclusion criteria of being an active student, currently in grades I and II, in good physical and mental health but the exclusion criteria was namely not being present at the time of data collected, for some reason withdrawing as a sample, and not willing to be interviewed. Collecting data on body weight using digital scales, height using a microtoa, fast food consumption pattern data using the SQ-FFQ form and physical activity data using the GPAQ form. Data is presented with frequency and cross tables. The analysis used is correlation rank spearman. Based on the results of the study, out of 87 samples, 32.2% were obese, 63.2% consumed fast food with lots of types, 55.2% high energy intake, 54.0% high protein intake, 64% high fat intake .4%, and high carbohydrate intake as much as 71.3%. The frequency of rarely consuming fast food is 65.5%. High category physical activity as much as 49.4%. Correlation test results Rank Spearman found a significant relationship between the type of fast food consumption, energy intake, protein, fat, carbohydrates and the frequency of fast food consumption with the incidence of obesity. In addition, there is a significant relationship between physical activity and the incidence of obesity. Keywords: Fast food consumption pattern, physical activity, obesity
