Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF URINE CRYSTALS IN FURNITURE WORKERS AT CV ADITYA FURNITURE BALI ABSTRACT Furniture workers are informal workers who use wood as raw material and they are at risk of experiencing health problems, one of which is urinary tract stones. Most of the furniture workers work long enough at high temperatures, consume less water, and some workers complain of back pain, dark urine. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of urine crystals in furniture workers at CV Aditya Furniture Bali. Population in this study was furniture workers as many 30 workers. The sampling technique used Non Probability Sampling with saturated sampling method. The examination of urine crystals was carried out microscopically using the slide test method. The results showed that 10 people (33,3%) had abnormal calcium oxalate crystals, 6 respondents (28,6%) were male, and 10 respondents (33,3%) had high ambient temperatures (>29°C). with less water consumption (<2000 milliliters/day) as many as 9 people (64,3%), with abnormal urine color as many as 6 people (60%). The conclusion from this study, on the characteristics of the respondents, the most abnormal urine crystals were in in the adult and old age groups, with male sex, less water consumption, high ambient temperature, and abnormal urine color. Suggestions from researchers are that respondents are advised to consume enough water, and attention to the condition of urine. Keywords: furniture worker, urinary tract stones, urine crystals GAMBARAN KRISTAL URINE PADA PEKERJA MEBEL DI CV ADITYA FURNITURE BALI ABSTRAK Pekerja mebel adalah pekerja informal dengan menggunakan bahan baku kayu yang berisiko mengalami gangguan kesehatan, salah satunya adalah batu saluran kemih. Sebagian besar pekerja mebel bekerja cukup lama pada suhu tinggi, kurang mengonsumsi air, mengeluhkan sakit pinggang, serta urine berwarna gelap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kristal urine pada pekerja mebel di CV Aditya Furniture Bali. Populasi penelitian adalah pekerja mebel dengan besar sampel 30 pekerja. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu Non Probability Sampling dengan metode sampling jenuh. Pemeriksaan kristal urine dilakukan secara mikroskopis metode slide test. Hasil penelitian, sebanyak 10 orang (33,3%) terdapat kristal kalsium oksalat tidak normal, dengan jenis kelamin laki-laki 6 orang (28,6%), dengan suhu lingkungan tinggi (>29°C) sebanyak 10 orang (33,3%), dengan konsumsi air kurang (<2000 mililiter/hari) sebanyak 9 orang (64,3%), dengan warna urine tidak normal sebanyak 6 orang (60%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian, pada karakteristik responden kristal urine tidak normal terbanyak pada kelompok usia dewasa dan tua, dengan jenis kelamin laki-laki, konsumsi air kurang, suhu lingkungan tinggi, serta warna urine tidak normal. Saran dari peneliti yaitu responden disarankan mengonsumsi air yang cukup, dan memperhatikan kondisi warna urine. Kata kunci: pekerja mebel, batu saluran kemih, kristal urine
