Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF TOTAL CHOLESTEROL LEVELS IN HIPERTENSIVE PATIENTS AT TABANAN HOSPITAL ABSTRACT Excess cholesterol can cause deposition in blood vessels and clog blood vessels. This blockage increases the activity of the heart muscle. The impact will cause hypertension, because of the large pressure on the blood vessels due to blockages in the blood vessels. The incidence of hypertension can be affected by an increase in total cholesterol levels in the blood. The aim of this study was to see an overview of total cholesterol levels in hypertensive patients. This type of research is a descriptive study, conducted at Tabanan Hospital, in February-April 2023. The study population was hypertension sufferers, using the Lemeshow formula, a sample of 35 was obtained using a purposive sampling technique. The method of examining cholesterol used in this study uses a chemistry analyzer. Processing data using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the age characteristics of the respondents came from the early elderly age group as much as 42.9% and the late elderly 42.9%. Gender characteristics were found as many as 54.3% of women. Based on physical activity, it was found that less than 30 minutes a day was 45.7%, consumption of fatty foods was found to be 77.1%. Borderline total cholesterol levels were found to be 45.7% and high cholesterol levels were found to be 28.6%. Borderline cholesterol levels are mostly found in the elderly, female gender, physical activity category of less than 30 minutes and respondents who frequently consume fatty foods. Keywords: hypertension, total cholesterol levels GAMBARAN KADAR KOLESTEROL TOTAL PADA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI DI RSUD TABANAN ABSTRAK Kelebihan kolesterol dapat menyebabkan pengendapan di pembuluh darah dan menyumbat pembuluh darah. Penyumbatan ini meningkatkan aktivitas otot jantung. Dampaknya akan menyebabkan hipertensi, karena besarnya tekanan pada pembuluh darah akibat sumbatan pada pembuluh darah. Kejadian hipertensi dapat dipengaruhi oleh peningkatan kadar kolesterol total dalam darah. Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran kadar kolesterol total pada penderita hipertensi. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian deskriptif, dilakukan di RSUD Tabanan, pada bulan Pebruari-April 2023. Populasi penelitian adalah penderita hipertensi, menggunakan rumus lemeshow didapatkan sampel sebanyak 35 dengan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pemeriksaan kolesterol yang digunakan dalam penelitian menggunakan alat chemistry analyzer. Pengolahan data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian didapatkan karakteristik usia responden berasal dari kelompok usia lansia awal sebanyak 42,9% dan lansia akhir 42,9%. Karakteristik jenis kelamin ditemukan perempuan sebanyak 54,3%. Berdasarkan aktifitas fisik didapatkan kurang dari 30 menit sehari sebanyak 45,7%, konsumsi makanan berlemak ditemukan sebanyak 77,1%. Kadar kolesterol total borderline ditemukan sebanyak 45,7% dan kadar kolesterol tinggi ditemukan sebanyak 28,6%. Kadar kolesterol borderline banyak ditemukan pada usia lansia, jenis kelamin perempuan, kategori aktifitas fisik kurang dari 30 menit dan responden yang sering mengkonsumsi makanan berlemak.
