Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF SERUM CREATININE LEVELS IN CONSUMING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN THE GERANA CUSTOMARY VILLAGE, BADUNG DISTRICT ABSTRACT Background: Consumed alcoholic beverages can increase the risk of health problems such as impaired kidney function. Alcohol excreted by the kidney can produce a strong nephrotoxin and can interfere with necrotic function (proximal cell death), which can damage the kidney directly. Damage to the kidneys caused by alcohol consumption can cause an increase in creatinine levels. Purpose: To determined the description of serum creatinine levels in consuming alcoholic beverages in Gerana Traditional Village, Badung Regency. Methods: The type of research used is descriptive research with a non-probability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. The samples used were 40 samples which were obtained by filling out questionnaires and examining serum creatinine levels using the Jaffe Reaction method using the A25 Biosystem tool. Results: Examination show that the serum creatinine level is low in 1 sample (2.5%), 21 samples (52.5%) have normal creatinine level, and 18 samples (45.0%) show high serum creatinine level. Conclusion: From the results of this study, the conclusion is that as many as 45.0% of respondents who consumed alcoholic beverages have creatinine serum levels in the high category. Keywords: Alcoholic beverages, kidney dysfunction, creatinine serum levels GAMBARAN KADAR KREATININ SERUM PADA PENGONSUMSI MINUMAN BERALKOHOL DI DESA ADAT GERANA KABUPATEN BADUNG ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Mengonsumsi minuman beralkohol dapat meningkatkan risiko masalah kesehatan seperti gangguan fungsi ginjal. Alkohol yang diekskresikan melalui ginjal dapat menghasilkan nefrotoksin yang kuat dan dapat mengganggu fungsi nekrosis (kematian sel pada proksimal), yang dapat merusak ginjal secara langsung. Kerusakan pada ginjal yang disebabkan oleh konsumsi alkohol dapat menyebabkan peningkatan kadar kreatinin. Tujuan: Mengetahui gambaran kadar kreatinin serum pada pengonsumsi minuman beralkohol di Desa Adat Gerana Kabupaten Badung. Metode: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel non probability yaitu purposive sampling. Sampel yang digunakan 40 sampel yang di peroleh melalui pengisian kuisioner dan pemeriksaan kadar kreatinin serum menggunakan metode Jaffe Reaction dengan menggunakan alat A25 Biosystem. Hasil: Pemeriksaan menunjukkan bahwa kadar kreatinin serum rendah sebanyak 1 sampel (2,5%), 21 sampel (52,5%) kadar kreatinin normal, dan 18 sampel (45,0%) menunjukkan kadar kreatinin serum tinggi. Simpulan: Dari hasil penelitian ini didapati kesimpulan bahwa sebanyak 45,0% responden yang mengonsumsi minuman beralkohol memiliki kadar kreatinin serum dengan kategori tinggi.
