Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE OF ORAL HEALTH AND DENTAL CARIES (The study was conducted on patients who visited the dental clinic of the Seririt 1 Public Health Center in Buleleng Regency in 2023) ABSTRACT The results of the 2018 National Basic Health Research, the prevalence of Indonesian people who have dental and oral health problems is 45.3%. For the Province of Bali, dental and oral health problems were found with a fairly high prevalence of 41.6%. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of knowledge of oral and dental health and dental caries among patients visiting the Dental Clinic at the Seririt I Public Health Center, Buleleng Regency, in 2023. This type of research was a descriptive study. The total sample used was 42 respondents. The sampling process was carried out by giving a questionnaire of 15 questions to get an overview of the level of knowledge of dental and oral health and carry out an examination. The results of research conducted at the Dental Clinic Seririt I Public Health Center, Buleleng Regency, namely the percentage of dental and oral health knowledge of 16 person (38.1%) respondents with sufficient criteria. The average value of knowledge level of dental and oral health is 70 with sufficient criteria. The percentage of respondents who had dental caries was 36 person (85.7%) and based on gender, it was found that 21 person (58%) women experienced more women who experienced dental cie that men. Respondents who bad good knowledge namely 15 person (42%) experienced dental caries. Keywords: knowledge, dental health, dental caries. GAMBARAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN KESEHATAN GIGI DAN MULUT SERTA KARIES GIGI (Studi Dilaksanakan Pada Pasien Yang Berkunjung di Poli Gigi Puskesmas Seririt 1 Kabupaten Buleleng Tahun 2023) ABSTRAK Hasil Riset Kesehatan Dasar Nasional tahun 2018, prevalensi masyarakat indonesia yang memiliki masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut 45,3%. Untuk Provinsi Bali ditemukan permasalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut dengan prevalensi cukup tinggi sebanyak 41,6%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut serta karies gigi pada pasien yang berkunjung di Poli Gigi Puskesmas Seririt I Kabupaten Buleleng Tahun 2023. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Total sampel yang digunakan 42 responden. Proses pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara memberikan kuisioner sebanyak 15 soal untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut dan melakukan pemeriksaan. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di Poli Gigi Puskesmas Seririt I Kabupaten Buleleng yaitu presentase pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut sebanyak 16 orang (38,1%) responden dengan kriteria cukup. Rata-rata nilai tingkat pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut adalah 70 dengan kriteria cukup. Presentase responden yang mengalami karies gigi sebanyak 36 orang (85,7%) dan berdasarkan jenis kelamin didapatkan perempuan lebih banyak yang mengalami karies gigi 21 orang (58%) dibandingkan laki-laki. Responden yang memiliki pengetahuan baik yaitu 15 orang (42%) mengalami karies gigi. Kata Kunci: pengetahuan, kesehatan gigi, karies gigi.
