Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF GINGIVITIS AND DENTAL CARIES IN PREGNANT WOMEN VISITING 1 DENPASAR TIMUR PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER YEAR 2023 ABSTRACT Pregnancy is a process that starts from the conception stage until the birth of the fetus. Hormonal changes in pregnant women cause various complaints such as nausea, vomiting, and include complaints of tooth and mouth pain due to the habit of ignoring dental and oral hygiene. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of gingivitis and dental caries in pregnant women who visited the 1 Denpasar Timur Public Health Center. This type of research is a descriptive study with 48 pregnant women as respondents. The research was conducted by examining the gums and teeth using a sonde and mouth mirror. The results showed that as many as (66.67%) suffer from gingivitis and have healthy gums (33.33%). The highest number of sufferers of gingivitis based on the trimester of pregnancy are the second trimester (37.5%), third trimester (34.38%) and first trimester (28.12%). Suffer from gingivitis based on the highest inflammation category, the most severe (40.63%), moderate (31.25%), and mild (28.12%) categories. suffer from dental caries (56.25%) and healthy teeth (43.75%) with an average of two caries. suffer from dental caries (56.25%) and healthy teeth (43.75%) with an average of two caries. The conclusions of pregnant women who suffer from gingivitis are as many as 32 people, based on the trimester, the most are in the second trimester, based on the inflammation category, the most are in the severe category. Pregnant women who suffer from dental caries are as many as 27 people with an average of two dental caries. Keywords: Gingivitis, Dental Caries, Pregnant Women GAMBARAN GINGIVITIS DAN KARIES GIGI PADA IBU HAMIL YANG BERKUNJUNG DI PUSKESMAS 1 DENPASAR TIMUR TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK Kehamilan adalah sebuah proses yang dimulai dari tahap konsepsi sampai lahirnya janin. Perubahan hormonal pada ibu hamil menimbulkan berbagai keluhan seperti mual, muntah, dan keluhan sakit gigi dan mulut akibat dari kebiasaan mengabaikan kebersihan gigi dan mulut.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Gambaran Gingivitis dan Karies Gigi Pada Ibu Hamil Yang Berkunjung Di Puskesmas 1 Denpasar timur. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan jumlah responden 48 ibu hamil dengan cara memeriksa gusi dan gigi geligi. Hasil didapatkan yang menderita gingivitis yaitu sebanyak (66,67%) dan gusinya sehat (33,33%). menderita gingivitis berdasarkan trimester kehamilan terbanyak yaitu trimester II (37,5%), trimester III (34,38%) dan trimester I (28,12%), menderita gingivitis berdasarkan kategori peradangan terbanyak yaitu kategori berat (40,63%), sedang (31,25%), dan ringan (28,12%). menderita karies gigi yaitu sebanyak (56,25%) dan giginya sehat (43,75%) dengan rata-rata karies sebanyak dua. Simpulan ibu hamil yang menderita gingivitis yaitu sebanyak 32 orang, berdasarkan trimester terbanyak berada di trimester II, berdasarkan kategori peradangan terbanyak berada pada kategori berat. Ibu hamil yang menderita karies gigi yaitu sebanyak 27 orang dengan rata-rata karies gigi sebanyak dua. Kata kunci : Gingivitis, Karies Gigi, Ibu Hamil
