Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DURATION OF DEPO MEDROXYPROGESTERONE ACETAT INJECTION USAGE WITH FEMALE SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION ABSTRACT The most common method of contraception use in Indonesia is injectable contraception, one of them is Depo Medroxyprogesterone Acetat (DMPA). The side effects of using DMPA are decreased libido and dry vagina, which associated with sexual dysfunction. This study aims to determine the relationship between the duration of contraceptive DMPA injection usage with female sexual dysfunction. The method of this study is cross sectional with univariate and bivariate analisys. The sample were DMPA acceptors who meet the inclution criteria. Sample size are 53 respondent, the proportion of samples by purposive sampling. Primary data retrieval from an interview with the guidelines questionnaires Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI). Data analysis was performed with Chi Square test. The result showed the duration of contraceptive DMPA injection usage affect the incidence of sexual dysfunction (p= 0,018 < 0,05), while the characteristics of age and duration of marriage are not associated with sexual dysfunction. Respondents who experienced sexual dysfunction by 37,74%. The amount of respodents who experienced sexual dysfunction are 6 respondent with < 3 years of durations usage and 14 respondents with ≥ 3 tahun durations usage. Based of this, couples are expected to build open communication about sexual health issues Keywords : duration of DMPA injection usage, sexual dysfunction, FSFI HUBUNGAN ANTARA LAMA PEMAKAIAN KONTRASEPSI SUNTIK DEPO MEDROKSIPROGESTERON ASETAT DENGAN GANGGUAN FUNGSI SEKSUAL PADA WANITA USIA SUBUR ABSTRAK Metode kontrasepsi yang sebagian besar dipilih di Indonesia adalah suntik KB, salah satunya suntik Depo Medroksiprogesteron Asetat (DMPA). Efek samping penggunaan kontrasepsi DMPA berupa penurunan libido dan vagina kering berkaitan dengan gangguan fungsi seksual wanita. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara lama pemakaian kontrasepsi suntik Depo Medroksiprogesteron Asetat dengan gangguan fungsi seksual pada wanita usia subur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross sectional dengan analisia univariat dan bivariat. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah akseptor KB suntik DMPA yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi. Besar sampel 53 orang dan penetapan sampel dengan cara purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data primer melalui kuesioner dengan pedoman kuesioner Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI). Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan antara lama pemakaian kontrasepsi suntik DMPA dengan gangguan fungsi seksual pada wanita usia subur (p= 0,018 < 0,05), sedangkan karateristik umur dan lama pernikahan tidak berhubungan dengan gangguan fungsi seksual. Respoden yang mengalami gangguan fungsi seksual sebesar 37,74%. Jumlah responden yang mengalami gangguan fungsi seksual adalah sebanyak 6 orang dengan lama pemakaian DMPA < 3 tahun dan 14 orang dengan lama pemakaian DMPA ≥ 3 tahun. Berdasarkan itu, pasangan suami istri diharapkan dapat membangun komunikasi terbuka mengenai masalah kesehatan seksual. Kata kunci : lama pemakaian suntik DMPA, gangguan fungsi seksual, FSFI
