Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS IN ELDERLY PATIENTS WITH HYPERTENSION AT UPT TEMBUKU I HEALTH CENTER BANGLI REGENCY ABSTRACT Background : In Indonesia, the incidence of joint disease is 7.3% and hypertension is 34.1%. Joint disease in elderly people with hypertension can be identified by measuring uric acid levels, this can occur due to increased uric acid levels with deposition and thickening of the walls of the arteries so that there will be narrowing of the blood vessels which will trigger high blood pressure. Aim : To find out the description of uric acid levels in elderly people with hypertension at UPT Tembuku I Health Center, Bangli Regency. Method : Using descriptive observational, which was carried out from March to April 2023 with a total sample of 60 people obtained using a non-probability technique using purposive sampling. Uric acid levels were measured using the Point of Care Testing (POCT) method. Results : The study showed that 37 elderly (62%) had high uric acid levels and 23 elderly (38%) had normal uric acid levels. Conclusion : The majority of high uric acid levels were in the pre-elderly age group (45-59 years) (23%), female sex (38%), hypertension was classified in the prehypertension group (27%). GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA LANSIA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI DI UPT PUSKESMAS TEMBUKU I KABUPATEN BANGLI ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Di Indonesia, angka kejadian penyakit sendi sebesar 7,3% dan penderita hipertensi sebesar 34,1%. Penyakit sendi pada lansia penderita hipertensi dapat di diketahui dengan mengukur kadar asam urat, hal ini dapat terjadi karena peningkatan kadar asam urat dengan adanya pengendapan dan penebalan pada 2 dinding pembuluh darah arteri sehingga akan terjadi penyempitan pada pembuluh darah yang akan memicu terjadinya tekanan darah tinggi. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat pada lansia penderita hipertensi di UPT Puskesmas Tembuku I Kabupaten Bangli. Metode : Menggunakan deskriptif observasional, yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai April 2023 dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 60 orang yang diperoleh dengan teknik non probabilitas secara purposive sampling. Kadar asam urat diukur dengan metode Point of Care Testing (POCT). Hasil : Penelitian menunjukan bahwa 37 lansia (62%) dengan kadar asam urat tinggi dan 23 lansia (38%) dengan kadar asam urat normal. Kesimpulan : Kadar asam urat tinggi mayoritas pada kelompok usia pralansia (45-59 th) (23%), jenis kelamin wanita (38%), klasifikasi hipertensi pada kelompok prahipertensi (27%).
