Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF EFFECTIVE COUGH EXERCISE MANAGEMENT IN COPD PATIENTS IN KLUNGKUNG HOSPITAL YEAR 2023 ABSTRACT COPD is a disease that has prolonged respiratory symptoms and restricted airflow caused by exposure to harmful particles and gases over a long period of time resulting in abnormalities in the airways or alveoli. COPD can be caused by several factors, namely cigarette smoke, indoor and outdoor air pollution, occupation, genetic factors, age and gender, lung growth and development, asthma and airway hyperactivity, and chronic bronchitis. This study aims to describe the characteristics of COPD patients, as well as to describe the characteristics of effective cough management in COPD patients which includes observation, therapeutic, educational, and collaborative actions at Klungkung Hospital in 2023. The method used in this study was a descriptive method with a research design observational and using a quantitative approach. The research was conducted in 27 March-4 April 2023, using a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling method on a sample of 34 respondents. The results of this study were mostly male, 19 people (55.9%), most aged> 65 years 14 people (41.2%), the number of respondents smoked 18 people (52.9%), with the results of the category of cough management very good effective 6 people (17.6%), good 18 people (52.9%), and enough category 10 people (29.4%). GAMBARAN PENGELOLAAN LATIHAN BATUK EFEKTIF PADA PASIEN PPOK DI RSUD KLUNGKUNG TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK PPOK adalah penyakit yang memiliki gejala pernafasan yang berkepanjangan dan aliran udara yang terbatas disebabkan oleh pajanan partikel dan gas berbahaya dalam jangka waktu yang lama mengakibatkan kelainan pada saluran napas atau alveolus. PPOK dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu asap rokok, polusi udara di dalam maupun di luar ruangan, pekerjaan, faktor genetik, usia dan jenis kelamin, pertumbungan dan perkembangan paru, asma dan hiperaktivitas jalan nafas, serta bronchitis kronis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan karakteristik pada pasien PPOK, serta untuk menggambarkan pengelolaan batuk efektif pada pasien PPOK yang meliputi pada tindakan observasi, terapeutik, edukasi, dan kolaborasi di RSUD Klungkung Tahun 2023. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan desain penelitian observasional dan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitiatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 27 Maret-4 April tahun 2023, menggunakan teknik non probality sampling dengan metode purposive sampling pada sebanyak 34 sampel responden. Hasil dari penelitian ini sebagian besar berjenis kelamin laki laki 19 orang (55,9%), usia terbanyak >65 tahun 14 orang (41,2%), jumlah responden merokok 18 orang (52,9%), dengan hasil kategori pengelolaan batuk efektif sangat baik 6 orang (17,6%), baik 18 orang (52,9%), dan kategori cukup 10 orang (29,4%). Kata kunci : PPOK, Pengelolaan latihan batuk efektif.
