Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE ATTITUDES AND HOUSEWIFE ACTIONS WITH INCIDENCE OF DIARRHEA IN TODDLERS IN BUNGAYA VILLAGE YEAR 2023 ABSTRACT Diarrhea is one of the diseases that occur in many toddlers. The illness or health of a child will be influenced by parents or the most instrumental in this case, namely housewives. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between the level of knowledge, attitudes and actions of housewives with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers. This study is observational analytic, namely to see the relationship of a variable with other variables using the cross sectional method. The results of the study with the Chi Square test, obtained a sig value of the level of knowledge of housewives with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers of 0.008. The results of the attitude of housewives with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers obtained a sig value of 0.004 and the actions of housewives with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers obtained a sig value of 0.002. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge, attitudes and actions of housewives with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers. Due to the lack of knowledge, attitudes and actions of housewives about diarrhea in toddlers, the advice that can be given is that housewives should seek more information about diarrheal diseases in toddlers ranging from prevention to countermeasures. This information can be searched through mass media such as in journals, articles or online books. Sakit atau sehatnya seorang anak akan dipengaruhi oleh orang tua atau yang paling berperan dalam hal ini yaitu ibu rumah tangga. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan ibu rumah tangga dengan kejadian diare pada balita. Penelitian ini bersifat observasional analitik yaitu untuk melihat hubungan suatu variabel dengan variabel lainnya menggunakan metode cross sectional. Hasil penelitian dengan uji Chi Square, didapatkan nilai sig tingkat pengetahuan ibu rumah tangga dengan kejadian diare pada balita sebesar 0,008. Hasil sikap ibu rumah tangga dengan kejadian diare pada balita didapatkan nilai sig sebesar 0,004 dan tindakan ibu rumah tangga dengan kejadian diare pada balita didapatkan nilai sig sebesar 0,002. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan ibu rumah tangga dengan kejadian diare pada balita. Karena kurangnya tingkat pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan ibu rumah tangga tentang diare pada balita maka saran yang dapat diberikan yaitu ibu rumah tangga harus mencari informasi lebih banyak mengenai penyakit diare pada balita mulai dari upaya pencegahan hingga penanggulangan. Informasi tersebut dapat dicari lewat media masa seperti di jurnal, artikel atau buku online. Kata kunci : Pengetahuan, Sikap, Tindakan, Ibu, Diare
