Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVEL OF THE ELDERLY IN NYALIAN VILLAGE BANJARANGKAN DISTRICT KLUNGKUNG REGENC ABSTRACT Uric acid is the end product of purine metabolism. Uric acid circulating in the human body is produced by the body itself (endogenous uric acid) and comes from food. The purpose of this study was to determine uric acid levels in the elderly in Nyalian Village, Banjarngkan District, Klungkung Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. This research was conducted from April to May 2022. The population in this study were all elderly people in Nyalian Village. The sample in this study was capillary blood from 32 elderly people in Nyalian Village, Banjarangkan District, Klungkung Regency with purposive sampling technique. Uric acid levels in the elderly in Nyalian Village were examined by the Point Of Care Testing (POCT) method. The results showed that the uric acid levels of the elderly in Nyalian Village were found to be more elderly who had high uric acid levels, namely as many as 24 people (75%). Uric acid levels in the high category were dominated by research subjects in the age range of 60-74 years, female, and high-purine food consumption in the frequent category, namely >3 times/week. Keywords : uric acid level, elderly, POCT GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA LANSIA DI DESA NYALIAN KECAMATAN BANJARANGKAN KABUPATEN KLUNGKUNG ABSTRAK Asam urat adalah produk akhir dari metabolisme purin. Asam urat yang beredar di dalam tubuh manusia di produksi sendiri oleh tubuh (asam urat endogen) dan bersal dari makanan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kadar asam urat pada lansia di Desa Nyalian Kecamatan Banjarngkan Kabupaten Klungkung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif metode kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai Mei 2022. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh lansia di Desa Nyalian. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu darah kapiler dari 32 lansia di Desa Nyalian Kecamatan Banjarangkan Kabupaten Klungkung dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Kadar asam urat pada lansia di Desa Nyalian diperiksa dengan metode Point Of Care Testing (POCT). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kadar asam urat lansia di Desa Nyalian didapatkan hasil lebih banyak lansia yang memiliki kadar asam urat tinggi yaitu sebanyak 24 orang (75%). Kadar asam urat dengan kategori tinggi didominasi oleh subjek penelitian pada rentang usia 60-74 tahun, berjenis kelamin perempuan, dan konsumsi makanan tinggi purin masuk kategori sering yaitu >3 kali/seminggu.
