Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FATIGUE LEVEL AND QUALITY OF LIFE ON PRODUCTIVE AGE CANCER PATIENTS UNDERGOING CHEMOTHERAPY AT BALI MANDARA REGIONAL GENERAL HOSPITAL ABSTRACT Fatigue is the most common side effect experienced by cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and can significantly impact quality of life. Productive age patients face unique challenges as they remain actively working and have social responsibilities. This study aimed to determine the correlation between fatigue levels and quality of life of productive age cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at RSUD Bali Mandara. This study used a descriptive correlational design with a cross sectional approach. Samples were taken by consecutive sampling of 52 respondents. Data were collected using the MFI-20 questionnaire to measure fatigue levels and the EORTC QLQ-C30 questionnaire to measure quality of life. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test. Most respondents were female (83.3%), experienced mild fatigue (40.0%), and had good quality of life (42.2%). The Spearman Rank test showed a correlation coefficient of r = -0.573 with p = 0.000. There is a significant negative correlation with moderate strength between fatigue levels and quality of life of productive age cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at RSUD Bali Mandara. The higher the fatigue level, the lower the patient's quality of life. Keywords: Fatigue, QOL, chemotherapy, cancer, productive age HUBUNGAN TINGKAT KELELAHAN DENGAN KUALITAS HIDUP PASIEN KANKER USIA PRODUKTIF YANG MENJALANI KEMOTERAPI DI RUMAH SAKIT UMUM DAERAH BALI MANDARA ABSTRAK Kelelahan merupakan efek samping yang paling sering dialami pasien kanker yang menjalani kemoterapi dan dapat berdampak signifikan terhadap kualitas hidup. Pasien usia produktif memiliki tantangan tersendiri karena masih aktif bekerja dan memiliki tanggung jawab sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat kelelahan dengan kualitas hidup pasien kanker usia produktif yang menjalani kemoterapi di RSUD Bali Mandara. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel diambil secara consecutive sampling sebanyak 52 responden. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner MFI-20 untuk mengukur tingkat kelelahan dan EORTC QLQ-C30 untuk mengukur kualitas hidup. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman Rank. Sebagian besar pasien berjenis kelamin perempuan (83,3%), mengalami kelelahan ringan (40,0%), dan memiliki kualitas hidup baik (42,2%). Hasil uji Spearman Rank menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi r = -0,573 dengan p = 0,000. Terdapat hubungan negatif dengan kekuatan sedang yang signifikan antara tingkat kelelahan dengan kualitas hidup pasien kanker usia produktif yang menjalani kemoterapi di RSUD Bali Mandara. Semakin tinggi tingkat kelelahan, maka semakin rendah kualitas hidup pasien. Kata kunci: Kelelahan, kualitas hidup, kemoterapi, kanker, usia produktif
