Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF CLEAN AND HEALTHY LIVING BEHAVIOR AMONG STUDENTS AT TK KUMARA ADI II, SESETAN VILLAGE, DENPASAR IN 2026 ABSTRACT Environmental-based diseases remain a public health concern influenced by inadequate sanitation, environmental pollution, and the low implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS). Early childhood is a vulnerable group to these diseases; therefore, establishing PHBS habits from an early age is essential for developing sustainable healthy behaviors. This study aimed to describe the implementation of PHBS among students of TK Kumara Adi II, Sesetan Village, Denpasar, in 2026 based on indicators of handwashing with soap, personal hygiene, waste sorting, and the consumption of healthy food and beverages. This study employed a descriptive quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 40 students selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through direct observation using a checklist based on PHBS indicators and were analyzed descriptively using frequency distributions and percentages. The results showed that most respondents were 5 years old (55.0%) and male (75.0%). Handwashing behavior with soap was still low, with only 8 students (20.0%) categorized as having good behavior. Personal hygiene and the consumption of healthy food and beverages demonstrated excellent results, with all students (100.0%) categorized as good. Waste-sorting behavior remained low, with only 4 students (10.0%) performing it correctly. Anak usia dini merupakan kelompok yang rentan terhadap penyakit tersebut, sehingga pembiasaan PHBS sejak usia dini sangat penting untuk membentuk perilaku hidup sehat yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan penerapan PHBS pada siswa TK Kumara Adi II, Kelurahan Sesetan, Denpasar, tahun 2026 berdasarkan indikator mencuci tangan menggunakan sabun, kebersihan diri, pemilahan sampah, serta konsumsi makanan dan minuman sehat. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan potong lintang. Sampel berjumlah 40 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung menggunakan lembar checklist berdasarkan indikator PHBS dan dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan distribusi frekuensi serta persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar responden berusia 5 tahun (55,0%) dan berjenis kelamin laki-laki (75,0%). Perilaku mencuci tangan menggunakan sabun masih rendah, hanya 8 siswa (20,0%) berkategori baik. Kebersihan diri serta konsumsi makanan dan minuman sehat menunjukkan hasil sangat baik dengan seluruh siswa (100,0%) berkategori baik. Perilaku pemilahan sampah masih rendah sehingga diperlukan penguatan kolaborasi antara sekolah dan orang tua. Kata kunci:
