Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PHYSICAL QUALITY INDEX OF BEDROOMS AND THE INCIDENCE OF PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS IN THE WORKING AREA OF BORONG COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER EAST MANGGARAI REGENCY IN 2026 ABSTRACT Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is a major public health problem in East Manggarai Regency. In 2025, 314 cases were reported, with 41 cases in Borong Health Center area. Bedroom physical quality, including ventilation and humidity, is suspected to influence pulmonary TB incidence. This study aimed to determine the relationship between bedroom physical quality and pulmonary TB incidence in Borong Health Center area in 2026.This observational analytic study used a case-control design with 1:1 ratio. The population consisted of 41 TB patients recorded in 2025. A total of 82 respondents were selected. Data were collected through observation and analyzed using Chi-Square test at α = 0.05.The Crude Rate of pulmonary TB in 2026 was 2,68 per 100,000 population. Most respondents had bedroom conditions that did not meet health standards, mainly due to poor lighting and high humidity, affecting 55 respondents (67.1%). Chi-Square test showed a significant association between bedroom physical quality and pulmonary TB incidence (p = 0.000, OR = 6.125). Respondents with non-standard bedrooms had 6.1 times higher risk of pulmonary TB.There is a significant relationship between bedroom physical quality and pulmonary TB incidence. Education on healthy housing and sanitation inspections should be strengthened. Keywords: Bedroom Physical Quality, Pulmonary Tuberculosis HUBUNGAN KUALITAS FISIK KAMAR TIDUR DENGAN KEJADIAN TB PARU DI WILAYAH PUSKESMAS BORONG KABUPATEN MANGGARAI TIMUR TAHUN 2026 ABSTRAK Latar belakang penelitian yaitu TB paru masih menjadi masalah di Manggarai Timur. Tahun 2025 terdapat 314 kasus, tertinggi di Puskesmas Borong 41 kasus. Kualitas fisik kamar tidur seperti ventilasi dan kelembapan diduga memengaruhi kejadian TB paru. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan indeks kualitas fisik kamar tidur dengan kejadian TB paru di Wilayah Puskesmas Borong Tahun 2026. Metode penelitian yaitu analitik observasional desain case control. Populasi penderita TB paru 2025 sebanyak 41 kasus. Sampel 82 responden 1:1 kasus:kontrol. Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi dan dianalisis uji Chi-Square α=0,05. Hasil penelitian yaitu Crude Rate TB paru tahun 2026 sebesar 2,68 per 1000 penduduk. Kualitas fisik kamar tidur sebagian besar tidak memenuhi syarat, tertinggi variabel pencahayaan dan kelembaban sebanyak 55 orang (67,1%). Uji Chi-Square p=0,000, OR=6,125. Responden dengan kamar tidur tidak memenuhi syarat berisiko 6,1 kali lebih besar menderita TB paru. Kesimpulannya adalah ada hubungan signifikan antara indeks kualitas fisik kamar tidur dengan kejadian TB paru di Wilayah Puskesmas Borong Tahun 2026. Saran yaitu meningkatkan edukasi rumah sehat dan inspeksi sanitasi rumah untuk pencegahan TB paru. Kata kunci: Kualitas Fisik Ruangan, Kejadian TB
