Abstract

OVERVIEW OF RESIDENTIAL VENTILATION CONDITIONS IN BANJAR TENGAH VILLAGE, NEGARA DISTRICT IN 2026 ABSTRACT Public health is influenced not only by medical services, but also by the quality of the residential environment. This study aimed to determine the ventilation conditions of residential homes in Banjar Tengah Village, Negara District, involving 97 families selected from 3,493 households. A descriptive method was used through observation, interviews, and measurements. The results showed that all respondents’ houses had natural ventilation in the living room and family room (100%). In the living room, most houses had cross ventilation (94.8%) and adequate ventilation area ratios (96.9%). In the family room, cross ventilation was found in 73.1% of houses, while 94.8% met the required ventilation area ratio. In the master bedroom, most respondents used mechanical fan ventilation (85.6%), with cross ventilation present in 77.2% of houses and adequate ventilation area ratios in 93.8%. The community is encouraged to improve ventilation use, especially by applying cross ventilation systems to maintain better indoor air circulation. Keywords: Residential Homes, Ventilation GAMBARAN KONDISI VENTILASI RUMAH TINGGAL DI KELURAHAN BANJAR TENGAH KECAMATAN NEGARA TAHUN 2026 ABSTRAK Kesehatan masyarakat tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh layanan medis, tetapi juga sangat ditentukan oleh kualitas lingkungan tempat tinggal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi ventilasi rumah tinggal di Kelurahan Banjar Tengah Kecamatan Negara yang memiliki populasi sebanyak 3.493 KK dengan besar sampel yang diambil menjadi 97 KK. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data secara observasi langsung melalui pengamatan, wawancara serta pengukuran terhadap 97 KK. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada ruang tamu terdapat keberadaan ventilasi dengan jenis alami (100%), tata letak ventilasi dengan sistem ventilasi silang (94,8%), dan pada rasio luas ventilasi telah memenuhi persyaratan (96,9%). Pada ruang keluarga seluruh rumah responden terdapat keberadaan ventilasi dengan jenis alami (100%), keberadaan ventilasi dengan sistem ventilasi silang (73,1%) dan rasio luas ventilasi telah memenuhi syarat (94,8%). Pada kamar tidur utama juga terdapat keberadaan ventilasi dengan mayoritas responden menggunakan jenis ventilasi mekanik kipas angin (85,6%), tata letak ventilasi silang dengan persentase (77,2%) dan rasio luas ventilasi telah memenuhi syarat (93,8%). Kepada masyarakat diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemanfaatan ventilasi dengan penerapan ventilasi silang pada rumah tinggal guna menjaga sirkulasi udara dalam ruang menjadi lebih baik.
