Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS AMONG ELDERLY PATIENTS AT PUSKESMAS SUKAWATI 1 GIANYAR IN 2022 ABSTRACT Background: Uric acid is the end product of purine metabolism which is one of the components of nucleic acids found in the nucleus of body cells. One of the factors that influence the increase of uric acid in the body is the age factor. Uric acid increases in a ratio of 3:1 in people over 60 years old. The decrease in physical strength and endurance makes the working mechanism of the body's organs disrupted so that it is vulnerable to disease. Purpose: This study was to determine uric acid levels among elderly patient at Sukawati 1 Gianyar Public Health Center based on age, sex, body mass index and blood pressure. Method: with purposive sampling method involving 30 respondents who examined uric acid levels at Sukawati 1 Gianyar Public Health Center. Results: based on age are mostly found at the age the age of 60-69 years old (46%), were found mostly in men (40%) which have normal body mass index (44%) and high blood pressure (43%). Conclusions: It can be concluded that high uric acid levels were found at 67% of population, and the rest of it has normal uric acid levels. Keywords: Elderly, Uric acid, POCT GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA PASIEN LANSIA DI PUSKESMAS SUKAWATI I GIANYAR TAHUN 2022 ABSTRAK Asam urat adalah hasil metabolisme akhir dari purin yang merupakan salah satu komponen asam nukleat yang terdapat dalam inti sel tubuh. Faktor yang mempengaruhi peningkatan dari asam urat pada tubuh salah satunya yaitu faktor usia. Asam urat meningkat dengan perbandingan 3:1 pada orang yang berusia lebih dari 60 tahun. Semakin menurunnya kekuatan fisik dan daya tahan tubuh membuat mekanisme kerja organ tubuh menjadi terganggu sehingga rentan terhadap serangan penyakit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kadar asam urat pada lansia di Puskesmas Sukawati 1 Gianyar berdasarkan umur, jenis kelamin, indeks massa tubuh dan tekanan darah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriftif dengan metode purposive sampling yang melibatkan 30 orang responden yang melakukan pemeriksaan kadar asam urat di Puskesmas Sukawati 1 Gianyar. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan berdasarkan umur lebih didominasi pada umur 60-69 tahun (46%), untuk jenis kelamin didominasi oleh laki – laki (40%), untuk indeks massa tubuh didominasi oleh indeks massa tubuh normal (44%), dan untuk tekanan darah didominasi oleh tekanan darah tinggi (43%). Simpulan penelitian ini adalah yang memiliki kadar asam urat tinggi dengan persentase 67%, sedangkan kadar asam urat normal dengan persentase 33%. Kata Kunci : Lansia, Asam Urat, POCT
