Abstract
Energy is one of the products of carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism. Energy functions as an energy substance for metabolism, growth, temperature regulation and physical activity. Protein is an important key nutrient that is useful for the formation of new cells in the body, influencing the work of enzymes, hormones, and immunity. This observation aims to determine the consumption of energy and protein from animal food sources and body mass index of traditional weaving craftsmen in Tenganan Pegringsingan Village. This observation was carried out in April 2022. The subject of observation is traditional weaving craftsmen in Tenganan Pegringsingan Village. Data collection was done by interview method. Energy and protein intake was obtained by the food recall method 1x24 hours. The nutritional status of traditional weaving craftsmen is assessed based on body mass index and categorized according to the provisions of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2019. The data is presented using a scatter graph. The results showed that the level of energy consumption and animal protein did not describe the BMI of traditional weaving craftsmen.
