Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease in which there is impaired body capacity in using glucose, fats and proteins resulting from insulin deficiency or insulin resistance. Non-compliance with current DM treatment is still a major problem that is quite important in the management of DM. Patient compliance level of type 2 diabetes mellitus is lower than Type I Diabetes mellitus can be caused by therapy regimen which is generally more complex and polifarmasi. Purpose of this research is to know picture of nursing care of type 2 diabetes mellitus patient with non-adherence to treatment in Area Work Unit . Kesmas Sukawati 1 year 2018. The type of research used is descriptive research type with case study design on two patients. Methods of data collection is done by interview, observation and documentation which then compare the results found with the theory. This research was conducted on April 22-24, 2018 in Working Area of UPT. Kesmas Sukawati 1 Gianyar exactly in Banjar Pamesan, Ketewel Village, Sukawati. The results showed that the signs and symptoms that appear in both patients are almost the same, but there are some differences with the theory of the assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. The results of this study are expected to improve patient compliance to the treatment so that it can achieve optimal health degree. Keywords: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Non-Compliance Treatment
