Abstract
Knowledge about how to maintain oral health is very important to be known by the community, especially the head of the family to improve the health degree of teeth and mouth. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge of the head of the family on how to maintain oral health in Karangasem Regency in 2021. The data collected in this study were primary data and secondary data. This type of research is a descriptive type of research. The total population of the study was 48 respondents. The results of this study indicate that the knowledge of the head of the family about how to maintain oral health is the highest with good criteria as many as 32 people (66.7%), and the lowest with less criteria is three people (6.2%). The average knowledge of the head of the household about how to maintain oral health was 73.2 with good criteria. The knowledge of the head of the family about how to maintain dental and oral health based on education level, namely with good criteria is S-1 (100%), with good and sufficient criteria is SMP (50%), and with poor criteria is SD (37.5%). It can be concluded that the frequency of family heads who have knowledge of how to maintain oral health in Karangasem Regency in 2021 is mostly with good criteria, namely as many as 32 people (66.7%). The average knowledge of household heads about how to maintain oral health in Karangasem Regency in 2021 is with good criteria. The percentage of the knowledge of the head of the family about how to maintain oral health in Karangasem Regency in 2021 based on the level of education, that is, with good criteria is a Bachelor (100%).
