Abstract
Oral health is a major indicator of overall health, well-being and quality of life. Dental caries is a disease caused by streptococcus mutans bacteria, which are bad bacteria found in the oral cavity. Pregnant women commonly experience problems that interfere with teeth and mouth during pregnancy, including excessive salivation, cavities, bleeding gums, gum inflammation. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of pregnant women about dental caries in North Denpasar District in 2021. This research is a descriptive study with a survey design. The data used in this study are primary data by providing questions about dental caries in the form of a google form link. The results of the research on knowledge of pregnant women about dental caries in North Denpasar Subdistrict in 2021 amounted to 38 people, the highest percentage of knowledge was 20 people (52.6%) in enough category, 17 people (44.8%) in good category and as many as poor category. 1 person (2,6%). The average knowledge of pregnant women about dental caries in North Denpasar District in 2021 is 77 (good category). The conclusion of this research is that the knowledge of pregnant women about dental caries in North Denpasar District in 2021 is in the sufficient category..
