Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF NURSING PROVISION OF THERAPY Reminiscence TO OVERCOME SELF-LOW IN ELDERLY ABSTRACT Low self esteem is a feeling worthless, meaningless, and low self-esteem as a result of the evaluation were negative about themselves or the ability to self being unable to achieve the desire of the ideal fit themselves. Improved self-esteem is an important component of nursing care for the elderly because of self-esteem is an important resource and a factor affecting the welfare of the elderly. This study aimed to describe nursing care picture reminiscence therapy to overcome the low self esteem of the elderly in the health center IV South Denpasar year 2018. This study used astudy descriptive and using a case study approach. Case study subjects in this study were two elderly people with low self esteem. This study using interviews, observation and documentation study. Assessment has been carried out on two elderly people, based on the assessment can be formulated nursing diagnoses ie low self esteem. The action taken is the provision of therapy reminiscence. The evaluation results obtained after administration of nursing care withtherapy reminiscence in the elderly is low self-esteem nursing problems can be resolved. Recommended for the elderly with low self-esteem as an independent act of nursing. Keywords: Nursing, Therapy Reminiscence, low self esteem.
