Abstract
A DESCRIPTION OF THE HAND HYGINE KNOWLEDGE LEVEL OF THE STUDENTS OF SD 5 JIMBARAN IN PUSKESMAS KUTA SELATAN AREA IN 2021 ABSTRACT Knowledge of hand washing in preventing Covid-19 needs to be known at school-age children, to suppress an increase in the spread of Covid-19 school-age children. This study aims to describe the level of knowledge of hand washing in the prevention of Covid-19 in school-age children. This research was conducted at SD 5 Jimbaran Puskesmas Kuta Selatan area. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study using univariate analysis. The number of samples in this study were 109 respondents with the data collection method using stratified random sampling. The instrument of this research using online questionnaires conducted in school age children with characteristics of age, class and sex of the respondent. The results in this study indicate value - average level of knowledge as much as 13:25 (good), the highest value obtained from all respondents with a score of 15 (good), while the lowest value ie with a score of 2 (or less). The value that often appears is a score of 15 (good). The classification level of knowledge of school-age children were included in both categories as much as 84.4%, a category quite as much as 11.9% and as much as 3.7% less category. The high-level categories of respondents with good knowledge expected to reduce the transmission of Covid-19 school-age children by applying their knowledge.
