Abstract

PENGARUH HEALTH EDUCATION DENGAN METODE SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION (SGD) TERHADAP PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN PENULARAN HIV/AIDS ABSTRAK Latar belakang : AIDS disebabkan oleh Humman Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) yang menyisakan permasalahan kesehatan yang serius dan menjadi penyebab kematian di seluruh dunia, sehingga perlu dilakukan pencegahan dimasyarakat untuk mengurangi risiko tertular HIV/AIDS, salah satu cara pencegahan penularan HIV/AIDS yaitu pemberian pendidikan kesehatan. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui pengaruh health education dengan metode small group discussion (SGD) terhadap perilaku pencegahan penularan HIV/AIDS. Metode : Penelusuran artikel dilakukan melalui tiga database (MEDLINE, CINAHL, dan Proquest) yang dicari pada mulai tahun 2010 sampai 2019 berupa laporan hasil penelitian dan review yang membahas health education dengan metode small group discussion (SGD) terhadap perilaku pencegahan penularan HIV/AIDS. setelah dilakukan seleksi isi jurnal, diperoleh 8 jurnal yang sesuai dengan pembahasan health education dengan metode small group discussion (SGD) terhadap perilaku pencegahan penularan HIV/AIDS. Hasil : Perilaku pencegahan HIV dan AIDS pada masyarakat sangat tergantung dengan tingkat pengetahuannya. Upaya untuk menurunkan angka HIV dan AIDS salah satunya dengan memberikan pendidikan kesehatan. Berbagai metode pendidikan kesehatan yang telah banyak digunakan, namun pendidikan kesehatan dengan metode diskusi kelompok lebih efektif sehingga pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan dalam perilaku pencegahan penularan HIV/AIDS dapat meningkat. Salah satu penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan sebelum diberikan health education dengan metode SGD dengan tingkat pengetahuan baik (4 %), cukup (82%), kurang (14%). Setelah dilakukan intervensi tingkat pengetahuan baik sebanyak (82%), cukup (18%) dan kurang tidak ada. Hasil uji wilcoxon untuk pengetahuan memperoleh nilai yang signifikan (p) 0,000 yang berarti health education dengan metode SGD efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang HIV AIDS. Kesimpulan : Health education dengan metode small group discussion dapat meningkatkan perilaku pencegahan penularan HIV/AIDS. Saran : Hendaknya setiap pendidikan kesehatan pencegahan HIV/AIDS dan pendidikan kesehatan lainnya menggunakan metode small group discussion (SGD). Kata kunci : Health education. THE EFFECT OF HEALTH EDUCATION WITH SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION (SGD) METHOD ON THE PREVENTION OF HIV/AIDS TRANSMISSION BEHAVIOR ABSTRACT Background : AIDS is caused by Humman Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) which leaves serious health problems and is a cause of death worldwide, so prevention is needed in the community to reduce the risk of contracting HIV/ AIDS, one way to prevent transmission of HIV / AIDS is providing education health. Purpose : To determine the effect of health education with the small group discussion method on the prevention of HIV/AIDS transmission behavior. Method : Searching for articles was carried out through three databases (MEDLINE, CINAHL, and Proquest) that were sought from 2010 to 2019 in the form of research reports and reviews discussing health education using the small group discussion (SGD) method for preventing HIV/AIDS transmission behavior. After selecting the contents of the journal, 8 journals were obtained which were in line with the discussion of health education using the small group discussion (SGD) method for preventing HIV / AIDS transmission behavior. Results : HIV and AIDS prevention behavior in the community is very dependent on the level of knowledge. One of the efforts to reduce HIV and AIDS is by providing health education. Various methods of health education have been widely used, but health education with group discussion methods is more effective so that knowledge, attitudes and actions in HIV / AIDS prevention behaviors can be increased. One study showed an increase in knowledge before being given health education by the SGD method with a good level of knowledge (4%), enough (82%), less (14%). After the intervention level of good knowledge as many as (82%), enough (18%) and less none. Wilcoxon test results for knowledge gained a significant value (p) 0,000 which means health education with SGD method is effective in increasing knowledge about HIV AIDS. Conclusion : Health education using the small group discussion method can improve HIV / AIDS transmission prevention behaviors.
