Abstract

ABSTRAK Obesitas sebagai dampak kelebihan gizi dapat terjadi pada anak-anak, remaja hingga usia dewasa. Diperlukan pengetahuan baik mengenai makanan yang berpengaruh pada pemilihan makanan yang akan mempengaruhi status gizinya saat remaja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan manfaat buah sayur, pola konsumsi buah sayur dan kejadian obesitas pada siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional dengan rancangan penelitian cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 318 orang dengan sampel sebanyak 90 sampel. Uji statistik menggunakan chi-square. Karakteristik sampel berumur 13-14 tahun. Tingkat pengetahuan manfaat buah sayur sebanyak 37,8% dalam kategori baik. Jenis konsumsi termasuk kategori kurang pada buah sebanyak 50,0% dan sayur sebanyak 51,1%. Jumlah serat konsumsi buah dan sayur termasuk kurang sebanyak 87,8%. Frekuensi konsumsi termasuk kategori baik pada buah sebanyak 67,8% dan sayur sebanyak 70,0%. Status gizi lebih dominan tergolong dalam kategori normal sebanyak 58,9%. Kejadian obesitas sebanyak 38,9% sampel. Hasil uji statistik menunjukan hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan manfaat buah sayur dan kejadian obesitas pada siswa tidak bermakna, hubungan antara jenis konsumsi buah sayur dan kejadian obesitas pada siswa tidak bermakna, hubungan antara jumlah konsumsi serat buah sayur dan kejadian obesitas pada siswa tidak bermakna, dan hubungan antara frekuensi konsumsi buah sayur dan kejadian obesitas pada siswa tidak bermakna. Kata Kunci: tingkat pengetahuan, pola konsumsi buah sayur, kejadian obesitas ABSTRACT Obesity as an impact of excess nutrition can occur in children, adolescents to adulthood. Good knowledge about food that influences the choice of food is needed which will affect nutritional status during adolescence. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of vegetable fruit benefits, vegetable fruit consumption patterns and the incidence of obesity in students at SMPN 1 Denpasar. This type of research was observational with a cross sectional study design. The population in this study amounted to 318 people with a sample of 90 samples. Statistical tests using chi-square. Characteristics of the sample are 13-14 years old. The level knowledge of the benefits of vegetable fruits is 37.8% in the good category. The type of consumption includes less than 50.0% in fruits and vegetables 51.1%. The amount of fiber consumed by fruits and vegetables is less than 87.8%. The frequency of consumption included good categories of fruit as much as 67.8% and vegetables as much as 70.0%. Nutritional status is more dominant in the normal category as much as 58.9%. Obesity incidence was 38.9% of the sample. Statistical results showed a correlation between the level of knowledge of vegetable fruit benefits and the incidence of obesity in students was not significant, the correlation between types of vegetable fruit consumption and the incidence of obesity in students was not significant, the correlation between the amount of vegetable fiber consumption and the incidence of obesity in students was not significant, and the correlation between the frequency of vegetable fruit consumption and the incidence of obesity in students is not significant.
