Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR MRS. S WITH CHRONIC PAIN DUE TO CERVICAL CANCER IN THE GOPALA WARD MANGUSADA REGIONAL HOSPITAL IN 2026 ABSTRACT Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women and is often accompanied by chronic pain, particularly in advanced stages due to tumor infiltration, nerve compression, and the effects of therapy. Uncontrolled chronic pain may reduce patients’ physical and psychological quality of life, requiring comprehensive nursing care. This scientific paper aimed to describe the nursing care provided to Mrs. S with chronic pain due to cervical cancer in the Gopala Ward of Mangusada Regional Hospital in 2026. The findings showed that the patient experienced chronic pain with a pain scale of 7/10. The nursing diagnosis established was chronic pain related to nerve compression as evidenced by the patient’s complaint of pain, grimacing, anxiety, inability to complete activities, protective behavior, and self-focused attention. Nursing interventions included pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management. After 3×24 hours of nursing care, the pain scale decreased to 2/10, accompanied by improvement in the signs and symptoms of chronic pain. It can be concluded that appropriate nursing care was effective in reducing chronic pain in patients with cervical cancer. Keywords: cervical cancer, chronic pain, nursing care ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA NY.S DENGAN NYERI KRONIS AKIBAT KANKER SERVIKS DIRUANG GOPALA RUMAH SAKIT DAERAH MANGUSADA TAHUN 2026 ABSTRAK Kanker serviks merupakan salah satu penyebab utama kematian pada perempuan yang sering disertai keluhan nyeri kronis, terutama pada stadium lanjut akibat infiltrasi tumor, penekanan saraf, dan efek terapi. Nyeri kronis yang tidak teratasi dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup pasien secara fisik maupun psikologis sehingga diperlukan asuhan keperawatan yang komprehensif. Karya tulis ilmiah ini bertujuan menggambarkan asuhan keperawatan pada Ny. S dengan nyeri kronis akibat kanker serviks di Ruang Gopala RSD Mangusada Tahun 2026. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan pasien mengalami nyeri kronis skala 7/10. Diagnosis keperawatan yang ditegakkan adalah nyeri kronis berhubungan dengan penekanan saraf dibuktikan dengan pasien mengeluh nyeri, tampak meringis, gelisah, tidak mampu menuntaskan aktivitas, bersikap protektif, dan berfokus pada diri sendiri. Intervensi meliputi manajemen nyeri farmakologis dan nonfarmakologis. Setelah dilakukan tindakan keperawatan selama 3×24 jam, terjadi penurunan skala nyeri menjadi 2/10 disertai berkurangnya tanda dan gejala nyeri. Disimpulkan bahwa asuhan keperawatan yang tepat efektif menurunkan nyeri kronis pada pasien kanker serviks. Kata kunci: kanker serviks, nyeri kronis, asuhan keperawatan
