Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR MR. S WITH INEFECTIVE AIRWAYS CLEARANCE DUE TO COPD AT THE AYODYA BUILDING SANJIWANI HOSPITAL GIANYAR IN 2026 ABSTRACT COPD is a chronic inflammatory lung disease characterized by progressive and irreversible airflow obstruction, and is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. This condition causes increased secretion production, resulting in ineffective airway clearance. This case report aims to determine the application of nursing care in patients with ineffective airway clearance due to COPD. The research method used is a case study on a 75-year-old male patient with COPD with a primary complaint of shortness of breath. The results of the patient's assessment showed shortness of breath, ineffective cough, difficulty expelling sputum, increased respiratory rate, rapid and shallow breathing patterns, and additional breath sounds of wheezing. The established nursing diagnosis is ineffective airway clearance related to retained secretions. The goal of care for the patient after 3x24 hours of treatment is expected to improve airway clearance. Interventions provided include effective coughing exercises, airway management, respiratory monitoring, and oxygen therapy. Assessment of the patient's outcomes, namely ineffective airway clearance, was partially resolved. It was concluded that comprehensive nursing care provided to patients gradually improved airway clearance, although not yet fully resolved. Nurses are expected to continue and optimize nursing interventions on an ongoing basis to improve airway clearance. S DENGAN BERSIHAN JALAN NAPAS TIDAK EFEKTIF AKIBAT PPOK DI GEDUNG AYODYA RSUD SANJIWANI GIANYAR TAHUN 2026 ABSTRAK PPOK merupakan penyakit inflamasi kronis pada paru yang ditandai dengan hambatan aliran udara yang progresif dan irreversible, serta menjadi salah satu penyebab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas di dunia. Kondisi ini menimbulkan peningkatan produksi sekret yang menyebabkan bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif. Laporan kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan asuhan keperawatan pada pasien dengan bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif akibat PPOK. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus pada seorang pasien laki-laki dengan PPOK berusia 75 tahun dengan keluhan utama sesak napas. Hasil pengkajian pasien mengalami sesak napas, batuk tidak efektif, sputum sulit dikeluarkan, frekuensi napas meningkat, pola napas cepat dan dangkal, serta bunyi napas tambahan wheezing. Diagnosis keperawatan yang ditegakkan adalah bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif berhubungan dengan sekresi yang tertahan. Tujuan perawatan pada pasien setelah dilakukan tindakan selama 3x24 jam diharapkan bersihan jalan napas meningkat. Intervensi yang diberikan meliputi latihan batuk efektif, manajemen jalan napas, pemantauan respirasi, serta terapi oksigen. Assesment evaluasi hasil pada pasien yaitu bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif teratasi sebagaian. Disimpulkan bahwa asuhan keperawatan yang diberikan secara komprehensif pada pasien mampu meningkatkan bersihan jalan napas secara bertahap, meskipun belum sepenuhnya teratasi. Diharapkan perawat dapat melanjutkan dan mengoptimalkan intervensi keperawatan secara berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan bersihan jalan napas.
