Abstract

Nursing Care for Mr. N with Hopelessness Due to Chronic Kidney Disease Undergoing Hemodialysis at RS Tk. II Udayana in 2025 ABSTRACT Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a progressive disease in which the patient’s condition continues to worsen, develop, or spread over time. This disease causes a permanent decline in kidney function, requiring patients to undergo renal replacement therapy, one of which is hemodialysis. Patients with CKD experience not only physical impairments but also psychological disturbances such as hopelessness. Hopelessness is characterized by a loss of hope for the future and the meaning of life, which can interfere with treatment adherence and worsen health outcomes. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of nursing care for a Chronic Kidney Disease patient experiencing hopelessness undergoing hemodialysis at RS Tk. II Udayana Denpasar. The methodology used in this research is a descriptive case study adopting the SDKI, SLKI, and SIKI frameworks. The research subject was one CKD patient with hopelessness, who received interventions in the form of hope promotion, emotional support, and coping promotion across five sessions. The results demonstrated an increase in the patient’s positive affect, active involvement in care, and a decrease in both verbal and non-verbal expressions of hopelessness. In conclusion, a focused and structured nursing care approach is capable of improving the psychological condition of CKD patients and instilling hope in undergoing treatment. Keywords: CKD, Hopelessness, Hemodialysis Asuhan Keperawatan Pada Tn. N Dengan Keputusasaan Akibat Gagal Ginjal Kronis Dengan Hemodialisis di RS. TK.II Udayana Tahun 2025 ABSTRAK Gagal Ginjal Kronis (GGK) merupakan penyakit progresif dimana kondisi penderita nya akan terus memburuk, berkembang, atau menyebar seiring berjalannya waktu. Penyakit ini menimbulkan penurunan fungsi ginjal secara permanen, sehingga pasien memerlukan terapi pengganti ginjal, salah satunya hemodialisis. Pasien dengan GGK tidak hanya mengalami gangguan fisik, tetapi juga gangguan psikologis seperti keputusasaan. Keputusasaan ditandai dengan hilangnya harapan akan masa depan dan makna hidup, yang dapat mengganggu kepatuhan terhadap terapi serta memperburuk kondisi kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas asuhan keperawatan pada pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronis dengan keputusasaan yang menjalani hemodialisis di RS Tk.ll Udayana Denpasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus deskriptif dengan pendekatan SDKI, SLIK, SIKI. Subjek penelitian adalah satu pasien GGK dengan keputusasaan, yang diberikan intervensi berupa promosi harapan, dukungan emosional, dan promosi koping selama lima kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan afek positif pasien, keterlibatan aktif dalam perawatan, dan penurunan ekspresi keputusasaan secara verbal dan nonverbal. Kesimpulannya, pendekatan asuhan keperawatan yang terfokus dan terstruktur mampu meningkatkan kondisi psikologis pasien GGK dan memberikan harapan dalam menjalani pengobatan.
