Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR AN.N WITH INEFECTIVE AIRWAYS CLEARANCE DUE TO BRONCHOPNEUMONIA IN THE BAKAS ROOM OF THE HOSPITAL KLUNGKUNG IN 2026 ABSTRACT According to the Bali Provincial Health Office (2024), the number of pneumonia cases in Bali Province has increased to 5,048 cases, accompanied by a rise in the mortality proportion to 12%. This trend continued in 2023, with 5,743 cases of pneumonia among children under five, and the mortality proportion increasing further to 19%.This case report aims to describe nursing care for patient An. N with ineffective airway clearance due to bronchopneumonia in the Bakas Ward of RSUD Klungkung in 2026. The method used is descriptive with a case study approach based on the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.The assessment results showed that the patient experienced shortness of breath, ineffective cough, excessive sputum production, and additional breath sounds such as wheezing and rhonchi. The nursing diagnosis established was ineffective airway clearance related to retained secretions.The main interventions provided included airway management through chest physiotherapy, respiratory monitoring, and education on increasing fluid intake. The implementation was carried out for 3×24 hours, with results showing an improvement in the patient's condition.The evaluation indicated a reduction in shortness of breath, disappearance of additional breath sounds, improvement in respiratory rate, and no sputum observed.In conclusion, the application of airway management interventions combined with chest physiotherapy is effective in improving airway clearance in children with bronchopneumonia and supports optimal patient recovery. Keywords : Nursing Care, Ineffective Airway Clearance, Bronchopneumonia ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA AN.N DENGAN BERSIHAN JALAN NAPAS TIDAK EFEKTIF AKIBAT BRONKOPNEUMONIA DI RUANG BAKAS RSUD KLUNGKUNG TAHUN 2026 ABSTRAK Menurut Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Bali 2024 di Provinsi Bali jumlah kasus pneumonia mulai meningkat menjadi 5.048 kasus disertai peningkatan proporsi kematian menjadi 12%. Tren ini berlanjut pada tahun 2023, di mana ditemukan 5.743 kasus pneumonia balita dengan proporsi kematian yang kembali meningkat hingga mencapai 19%. Laporan kasus ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan asuhan keperawatan pada An.N dengan masalah bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif akibat bronkopneumonia di Ruang Bakas RSUD Klungkung tahun 2026. Metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus proses keperawatan yang meliputi pengkajian, diagnosis, perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil pengkajian menunjukkan pasien mengalami sesak napas, batuk tidak efektif, sputum berlebih, serta bunyi napas tambahan berupa wheezing dan ronki. Diagnosis keperawatan yang ditegakkan adalah bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif berhubungan dengan sekresi yang tertahan. Intervensi utama yang diberikan yaitu manajemen jalan napas melalui fisioterapi dada, pemantauan respirasi, serta edukasi peningkatan asupan cairan. Implementasi dilakukan selama 3×24 jam dengan hasil menunjukkan adanya perbaikan kondisi pasien. Evaluasi menunjukkan penurunan sesak napas, hilangnya bunyi napas tambahan, frekuensi napas membaik, serta tidak ditemukan sputum. Kesimpulannya, penerapan intervensi manajemen jalan napas yang dikombinasikan dengan fisioterapi dada efektif dalam meningkatkan bersihan jalan napas pada anak dengan bronkopneumonia serta mendukung pemulihan kondisi pasien secara optimal.
