Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDE WITH MEDICAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT ACTIONS AT KARANG TALIWANG COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER MATARAM CITY YEAR 2025 ABSTRACT Knowledge, attitudes, and actions of officers in the sorting and collection stages play a crucial role in the success of medical waste management at the Health Center. The quantitative research method with a Cross-Sectional method aims to explore the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with the actions of solid medical waste managers. The results show that the majority of respondents are aged 41 - 50 years, totaling 14 (35.294%) respondents. Most respondents have completed Higher Education ≥ S1, totaling 23 (67.65%) respondents. The majority of respondents have worked for ≥10 years, totaling 13 (38.24%) respondents. In terms of gender, the predominant group is male with 18 (52.90%) respondents, compared to female with 16 (47.10%) respondents.respondents with sufficient attitudes and sufficient actions consist of 6 respondents with a percentage of 17.65%. In contrast, respondents with poor attitudes who have good, sufficient, and poor actions total 0 respondents with a percentage of 0%. The results of the statistical test obtained a P-Value = 0.895, where this result is greater than the alpha value p = 0.05, thus concluding that there is no relationship between knowledge and the actions of solid medical waste managers at the Karang Taliwang Health Center in Mataram City in 2025. The correlation coefficient (CC) value of knowledge and actions of solid medical waste managers is 0.021, indicating a small category of relationship that could even be said to be nonexistent (zero). The statistical test results obtained a P-Value = 0.000, where this result is less than the alpha value p = 0.05, thus concluding that there is a relationship between attitudes and the actions of solid medical waste managers, and the correlation coefficient (CC) for attitudes reached a very high result of 1.000, which means there is a strong relationship between attitudes and the actions of solid medical waste managers at the Karang Taliwang Health Center in Mataram City in 2025. Keywords: Knowledge, Attitude, Actions, Medical Waste HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP DENGAN TINDAKAN PENGELOLA LIMBAH MEDIS PADAT DI PUSKESMAS KARANG TALIWANG KOTA MATARAM TAHUN 2025 ABSTRAK Pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan petugas pada tahap pemilahan dan pengumpulan sangat berperan penting dalam keberhasilan pengelolaan limbah medis di Puskesmas. Metode Penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode Cross Secional bertujuan untuk menggali hubungan antara pengetahuan dan sikap dengan tindakan pengelola limbah medis padat. Hasil karakteristik umur responden sebagian besar berumur 41 - 50 tahun yaitu sebanyak 14 (35,294%) responden, Pendidikan responden sebagian besar menempuh Pendidikan Tinggi ≥ S1 sebanyak 23 (67,65%) responden, masa kerja responden sebagian besar bekerja ≥10 tahun sebanyak 13 (38,24%) responden, sedangkan menurut jenis kelamin terbanyak adalah laki-laki sebanyak 18 (52,90%) dan perempuan sebanyak 16 (47,10%) responden. Pengetahuan responden dalam upaya pengelolaan limbah medis padat di Puskesmas Karang Taliwang Kota Mataram Tahun 2025 kategori baik yaitu sebanyak 18 (52,94%) responden, cukup sebanyak 10 (29,41%) responden dan pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 6 (17,65%) responden, sikap responden dalam upaya pengelolaan limbah medis padat kategori baik yaitu sebanyak 28 (82,35%) responden, kategori cukup sebanyak 6 (17,65 %) responden i sikap kurang sebanyak 0 (0,0%) responden. Tindakan responden dalam pengelolaan limbah medis padat kategori baik sebanyak 20 (58,85%) responden, cukup sebanyak 10 (29,41%) responden sedangkan kurang sebanyak 4 (6,64%) responden. Hasil uji statistik diperoleh nilai P-Value = 0,895 dimana hasil ini lebih besar dari nilai alfa p = 0,05, simpulan tidak terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan tindakan pengelola limbah medis padat. Hasil uji statistik diperoleh nilai P-Value = 0,000 hasil ini lebih kecil dari nilai alfa p = 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara sikap dengan tindakan pengelola limbah medis padat di Puskesmas Karang Taliwang Kota Mataram tahun 2025.
