Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDE TOWARDS OFFICERS' ACTIONS IN SOLID MEDICAL WASTE MANAGEMENT EFFORTS AT PENGESANGAN COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER MATARAM DISTRICT, MATARAM CITY 2025 Guidelines for the prevention and control of infections in health care facilities to prevent infections in patients, officers, visitors, and the community around health care facilities. Knowledge, attitudes and actions of officers at the sorting and collection stages play a very important role in the success of medical waste management at Pengesangan Health Center Method This research is a quantitative study with an observational method aimed at exploring how the relationship between knowledge and attitudes-towards the actions of officers The results of the characteristics of the age of respondents are mostly 31-40 years old, namely 28 (37.3%) respondents, 21-30 years old as many as 24 (32.0%), 41-50 years old as many as 14 (18.7%) and age> 50 years as many as 9 (12.0%) with the highest age of 58 years and the lowest age of 23 years. The majority of respondents' education is higher education 68 (90.7%) while secondary education 7 (9.3%). The working period of the respondents was mostly between >10 years 30 (40.0%), while <1 1, as many as 1 year were 5 (6.7%), 1-5 years were 17 (22.7%) and 6-10 years were 23 (30.7%). The management efforts in the positive category were 54 (72.0%) while those with a negative attitude were 21 (28.0%). Respondents' actions in efforts to manage solid medical waste at the Pagesangan Health Center, Mataram District, were mostly in the good category, as many as 53 (70.7%), while the category was less good, 22 (29.3%). The contingency coefficient correlation (CC) value of 0.532 indicates a moderate relationship category. The results of the cross-tabulation showed that the attitudes of respondents in the positive category mostly had good actions, as many as 49 (65.3%). The attitudes of respondents in the negative category mostly had less good actions, as many as 17 (22.7%). Conclusions in the study Officers' knowledge is in the good category., Officers' attitudes are mostly in the positive category. Officers' actions are mostly in the good category. There is a relationship between knowledge and officer actions in efforts to manage solid medical waste, the p-value result is 0.000, which is smaller than the alpha value (p <α (0.05).
