Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR AN.T WITH INEFFECTIVE AIRWAY CLEARANCE DUE TO PNEUMONIA IN AYODYA BUILDING SANJIWANI HOSPITAL GIANYAR IN 2025 ABSTRACT Pneumonia is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in children, often resulting in ineffective airway clearance due to excessive secretion accumulation. The purpose of this case study is to describe nursing care for a child experiencing ineffective airway clearance due to pneumonia at RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar. A descriptive case study method was applied to a 7-year-old male child (An. T) with a medical diagnosis of pneumonia. Nursing care was carried out over five days through assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The primary interventions included effective coughing exercises, airway management, and respiratory monitoring, with inhalation therapy as supportive intervention. The evaluation showed improvement in the patient’s condition, indicated by more effective coughing, decreased sputum production, reduced wheezing and dyspnea, and normalized respiratory rate. In conclusion, a systematic nursing care approach proved effective in resolving ineffective airway clearance in pediatric pneumonia. Keywords : Nursing care, Airway clearance, Pneumonia ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA AN.T DENGAN BERSIHAN JALAN NAPAS TIDAK EFEKTIF AKIBAT PNEUMONIA DI GEDUNG AYODYA RSUD SANJIWANI GIANYAR TAHUN 2025 ABSTRAK Pneumonia merupakan salah satu penyebab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas pada anak, dengan manifestasi klinis yang dapat menyebabkan bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif akibat akumulasi sekret. Tujuan dari studi kasus ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan asuhan keperawatan pada anak dengan masalah bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif akibat pneumonia di RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus deskriptif terhadap satu orang anak laki-laki usia 7 tahun (An. T) dengan diagnosis medis pneumonia. Asuhan keperawatan dilakukan selama 5 hari meliputi pengkajian, diagnosis keperawatan, perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Intervensi utama meliputi latihan batuk efektif, manajemen jalan napas, dan pemantauan respirasi, serta pemberian obat inhalasi sebagai intervensi pendukung. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan kondisi pasien ditandai dengan batuk yang lebih efektif, berkurangnya produksi sputum, menurunnya wheezing dan sesak napas, serta normalisasi frekuensi napas. Kesimpulan dari laporan kasus ini adalah penerapan proses keperawatan secara sistematik dapat mengatasi masalah bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif pada anak dengan pneumonia.
