Abstract

HUBUNGAN TINGKAT KONSUMSI ZAT GIZI MAKRO DAN STATUS GIZI TERHADAP KELINCAHAN ATLET KARATE DI LEMKARI GIANYAR RANTING KETEWEL ABSTRAK Kelincahan merupakan komponen penting dalam olahraga karate karena memungkinkan atlet mengubah arah dan posisi tubuh dengan cepat tanpa kehilangan keseimbangan. Kelincahan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, seperti jenis kelamin, usia, teknik, status gizi, frekuensi, dan durasi latihan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat konsumsi zat gizi makro (protein, lemak, dan karbohidrat) serta status gizi terhadap kelincahan atlet karate di Lemkari Gianyar Ranting Ketewel. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel berjumlah 40 atlet karate usia 10–16 tahun yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data konsumsi zat gizi makro diperoleh menggunakan metode Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), status gizi dinilai berdasarkan Indeks Massa Tubuh menurut Umur (IMT/U), dan kelincahan diukur dengan tes shuttle run. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji Korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil menunjukkan sebagian besar atlet memiliki kelincahan baik (50,0%), asupan karbohidrat normal (57,5%), protein normal (47,5%), lemak normal (42,5%), dan status gizi baik (70,0%). Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara konsumsi zat gizi makro dengan status gizi, serta antara status gizi dengan kelincahan (p<0,05). Disarankan agar atlet menjaga pola makan seimbang dan pelatih aktif dalam edukasi serta pemantauan status gizi. Kata kunci: kelincahan, konsumsi zat gizi makro, status gizi THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MACRONUTRIENT INTAKE LEVEL AND NUTRITIONAL STATUS WITH AGILITY IN KARATE ATHLETES AT LEMKARI GIANYAR RANTING KETEWEL ABSTRACT Agility is an essential component in karate as it allows athletes to change direction and body position quickly without losing balance. Agility is influenced by various factors, including gender, age, technique, nutritional status, training frequency, and duration. This study aims to determine the relationship between macronutrient intake levels (protein, fat, and carbohydrates) and nutritional status with the agility of karate athletes at Lemkari Gianyar, Ketewel Branch. This research employed an observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 40 karate athletes aged 10–16 years, selected using purposive sampling. Macronutrient intake data were collected using the Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), nutritional status was assessed based on Body Mass Index-for-Age (BMI-for-Age), and agility was measured using the shuttle run test. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods with the Spearman Rank Correlation test. The results showed that most athletes had good agility (50.0%), normal carbohydrate intake (57.5%), normal protein intake (47.5%), normal fat intake (42.5%), and good nutritional status (70.0%). There was a significant relationship between macronutrient intake and nutritional status, as well as between nutritional status and agility (p<0.05). It is recommended that athletes maintain a balanced diet, and coaches actively engage in nutrition education and monitoring of athletes' nutritional status.
