Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR CHILD R WITH FEVER CONVULSIONS DUE TO HYPERTHERMIA IN THE BAKAS ROOM KLUNGKUNG HOSPITAL IN 2025 ABSTRACT Febrile seizures are seizures that occur when the body temperature rises (rectal temperature more than 38OC) caused by an extracranial process. The clinical symptoms of patients with febrile seizures are fever, with nursing problems, namely hyperthermia with a body temperature of >37.5oC. This case report aims to overcome the problem of hyperthermia due to febrile seizures in the Bakas Room of Klungkung Hospital. This scientific paper uses a descriptive case report method with a nursing process approach including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation which was carried out on March 21-25, 2025. The sample of this case report is An. R with a medical diagnosis of febrile seizures. The results of the case report obtained by An. R experienced febrile seizures, seizures with a duration of less than 3 minutes with a body temperature of 38.9oC. The nursing diagnosis in this case report is hyperthermia related to the disease process (infection) as evidenced by An. R's body temperature above the normal value of 38.9oC. After being treated for 5 days with nursing interventions for hyperthermia management and thermoregulation, the hyperthermia problem was resolved. The evaluation results show that it has been achieved, this is proven by the achievement of the established output. The conclusion of this case report is that the provision of nursing care can help in overcoming the problem of hyperthermia due to febrile seizures and prevent further complications in children with febrile seizures. Keywords: febrile seizures, hyperthermia, parenting ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA ANAK R DENGAN KEJANG DEMAM AKIBAT HIPERTERMIA DI RUANG BAKAS RSUD KLUNGKUNG TAHUN 2025 ABSTRAK Kejang demam merupakan bangkitan kejang yang terjadi pada kenaikan suhu tubuh (suhu rektal lebih dari 38oC) yang disebabkan oleh suatu proses ekstrakranium. Gejala klinis pasien kejang demam adalah demam, dengan masalah keperawatan yaitu hipertermia suhu tubuh >37,5oC. Laporan kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah kejang demam akibat hipertermia di Ruang Bakas RSUD Klungkung. Karya tulis ilmiah ini menggunakan metode laporan kasus deskriptif dengan pendekatan proses keperawatan meliputi pengkajian, diagnosis, intervensi, implementasi, dan evaluasi yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 21 – 25 Maret 2025. Sampel laporan kasus ini adalah An. R dengan diagnosa medis kejang demam. Hasil laporan kasus yang didapatkan An. R mengalami kejang demam, kejang dengan durasi kurang dari 3 menit suhu tubuh 38,9oC. Diagnosis keperawatan pada laporan kasus ini yaitu hipertermia berhubungan dengan proses penyakit (infeksi) dibuktikan dengan suhu tubuh An. R diatas nilai normal yaitu 38,9oC. Setelah dirawat selama 5 hari dengan intervensi keperawatan manajemen hipertermia dan regulasi temperatur termogulasi membaik, masalah hipertermia teratasi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukan telah tercapai, hal ini dibuktikan tercapainya luaran yang telah ditetapkan. Kesimpulan dari laporan kasus ini bahwa pemberian asuhan keperawatan dapat membantu dalam mengatasi masalah kejang demam akibat hipertermia dan mencegah komplikasi lanjutan pada anak dengan kejang demam.
