Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR MR.W WITH GAS EXCHANGE DISORDERS DUE TO COPD ON FLOOR TWO CLASS TWO SANJIWANI GIANYAR HOSPITAL IN 2025 ABSTRACT COPD causes chronic inflammation of respiratory tract that affects body's ability to transfer oxygen and carbon dioxide and increases the burden on respiratory system. This case report aims to determine the nursing care for patient Mr. W who experienced impaired gas exchange due to COPD on second floor of class two of Sanjiwani Gianyar Hospital in 2025. The case report was compiled using a descriptive method to be able to describe nursing care process. Sample of this case report is a COPD patient who meets inclusion criteria. The results of the assessment found that the patient complained of shortness of breath, increased PCO2, decreased PO2, tachycardia, decreased arterial pH. The nursing diagnosis identified was impaired gas exchange related to ventilation perfusion imbalance. The nursing interventions carried out were respiratory monitoring, oxygen therapy, energy management. After being treated for five days, the patient said that he no longer felt short of breath, his anxiety seemed to decrease, his tachycardia improved, and his breathing pattern improved. It was concluded that the problem of impaired gas exchange was partially resolved. It is recommended for Sanjiwani Gianyar Hospital to carry out a complete ABG examination for further results or as a comparison. Keywords: Nursing Care, Gas Exchange Disorders, COPD.   ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA TN.W DENGAN GANGGUAN PERTUKARAN GAS AKIBAT PPOK DI LANTAI DUA KELAS DUA RSUD SANJIWANI GIANYAR TAHUN 2025 ABSTRAK PPOK menyebabkan peradangan kronis pada saluran pernapasan yang mempengaruhi kemampuan tubuh untuk mentransfer oksigen dan karbon dioksida serta meningkatkan beban pada sistem pernapasan. Laporan kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui asuhan keperawatan pada pasien Tn.W yang mengalami gangguan pertukaran gas akibat PPOK di lantai dua kelas dua RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar Tahun 2025. Laporan kasus disusun dengan metode diskriptif untuk bisa menggambarkan proses asuhan keperawatan. Sampel laporan kasus ini adalah seorang penderita PPOK yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil pengkajian ditemukan pasien mengeluh sesak napas, PCO2 meningkat, PO2 menurun, takikardia, pH arteri menurun. Diagnosis keperawatan yang diidentifikasi adalah gangguan pertukaran gas berhubungan dengan ketidakseimbangan ventilasi perfusi. Intervensi keperawatan yang dilakukan adalah pemantauan respirasi, terapi oksigen, manajemen energi. Setelah dirawat selama lima hari pasien mengatakan sudah tidak merasa sesak napas, gelisah tampak menurun, takikardia membaik, dan pola napas membaik. Disimpulkan masalah gangguan pertukaran gas teratasi sebagian. Disarankan bagi RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar untuk pemeriksaan AGD bisa dilakukan secara tuntas untuk hasil lanjutan atau sebagai perbandingan.
