Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR INFANTS AGED 1-28 DAYS AT RISK OF HYPOTHERMIA DUE TO EXTREME BODY WEIGHT WHO GET KANGAROO METHOD CARE KANGAROO METHOD IN RSD MANGUSADA ABSTRACT Babies with low birth weight are babies with prematurity who are at risk of hypothermia if they do not get proper and responsive treatment. Many cases of prematurity babies who die are caused by hypothermia. Babies at risk of hypothermia due to extreme weight also have the right to develop healthily and well. The application of the kangaroo method can help low birth weight babies at risk of hypothermia to increase body temperature and increase the baby's weight. PMK (Kangaroo Method Care) is an effective measure to increase body temperature and baby weight. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of kangaroo method care in infants at risk of hypothermia with extreme body weight in the NICU room of Mangusada Hospital. This research is descriptive research with a case study design. Data were collected through observations and interviews organized in a nursing care and presented narratively. The results of this study indicate that the application of the kangaroo method is able to increase the body temperature and body weight of infants at risk of hypothermia due to extreme body weight. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for care interventions in low birth weight babies to deal with the risk of hypothermia in infants. Keywords : Implementation, Kangaroo method care, Risk of Hypothermia, LBW (Low Birth Weight) KEPERAWATAN BAYI USIA 1-28 HARI DENGAN RISIKO HIPOTERMIA AKIBAT BERAT BADAN EKSTREM YANG MENDAPATKAN PERAWATAN METODE KANGURU DI RSD MANGUSADA ABSTRAK Bayi dengan berat badan lahir rendah merupakan bayi dengan prematuritas yang berisiko terjadi hipotermia jika tidak mendapatkan penanganan yang tepat dan tanggap. Banyak kasus bayi premturitas yang meninggal disebabkan karena terjadi hipotermia. Bayi dengan risiko hipotermia akibat berat badan ekstrem juga berhak untuk berkembang secara sehat dan baik. Penerapan metode kanguru dapat membantu bayi dengan berat badan lahir rendah yang berisiko hipotermia untuk meningkatkan suhu tubuh dan meningkatkan berat badan bayi. PMK (Perawatan Metode Kanguru) merupakan tindakan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan suhu tubuh dan berat badan bayi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan perawatan metode kanguru pada bayi risiko hipotermia dengan berat badan lahir rendah di ruang NICU RSD Mangusada. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara yang disusun dalam suatu asuhan keperawatan dan disajikan secara naratif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan metode kanguru mampu meningkatkan suhu tubuh dan berat badan bayi risiko hipotermia akibat berat badan lahir rendah. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan intervensi perawatan pada bayi berat badan lahir rendah untuk menangani risiko hipotermia pada bayi.
