Abstract

IDENTIFICATION OF Aspergillus Sp. FUR IN SPUTUM OF TUBERCULOSIS NEGATIVE PATIENTS IN PUSKESMAS II WEST DENPASAR ABSTRACT The fungus Aspergillus sp. is the causative agent of aspergillosis that affects the respiratory tract. Respiratory tract infections caused by fungi have infected many humans, but only a few cases have been reported. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence or absence of Aspergillus sp. fungi in the sputum of tuberculosis negative patients at Puskesmas II West Denpasar. This research is included in descriptive qualitative research using non probability sampling technique by saturated sampling. Identification of Aspergillus sp. was carried out through laboratory testing using two methods, that is macroscopic and microscopic. The results of this study showed that 2 out of 20 totally sputum samples (10%) were positive for Aspergillus sp. because Aspergillus sp. colony growth was found on SDA media with the characteristics of black colonies, round, velvety texture and Aspergillus sp. fungal spores were found on microscopic preparations which have the characteristics of round conidia, unbranched hyphae and round vesicles. The type of Aspergillus sp. fungus found was Aspergillus niger. Keywords: Sputum, tuberculosis negative, Aspergillus sp. IDENTIFIKASI JAMUR Aspergillus sp. PADA SPUTUM PASIEN NEGATIF TUBERKULOSIS DI PUSKESMAS II DENPASAR BARAT ABSTRAK Jamur Aspergillus sp. merupakan agen penyebab aspergillosis yang menyerang sistem pernapasan. Infeksi sistem pernapasan yang disebabkan oleh jamur sudah banyak menginfeksi manusia, namun hanya sedikit kasus yang dilaporkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya jamur Aspergillus sp. pada sputum pasien negatif tuberkulosis di Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat. Penelitian ini termasuk kedalam penelitian deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan teknik non probability sampling dengan cara sampling jenuh. Identifikasi jamur Aspergillus sp. dilakukan melalui pengujian laboratorium dengan menggunakan dua metode yakni makroskopis dan mikroskopis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 2 dari 20 total sampel sputum (10%) positif terdapat jamur Aspergillus sp. karena ditemukan pertumbuhan koloni Aspergillus sp. pada media SDA dengan ciri-ciri koloni berwarna hitam, bulat, tekstur menyerupai beludru dan ditemukan spora jamur Aspergillus sp. pada sediaan mikroskopis yang memiliki ciri-ciri konidia bulat, hifa tidak bercabang dan vesikula bulat. Jenis jamur Aspergillus sp. yang ditemukan merupakan Aspergillus niger. Kata kunci : Sputum, negatif tuberkulosis, Aspergillus sp.
