Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR SWALLOWING DISORDERS WITH ORAL MOTOR STIMULATION THERAPY IN BBLR BABY AT THE PERINATOLOGY ROOM RSUD BALI MANDARA IN 2024 ABSTRACT Low birth weight (LBW) is a newborn baby whose birth weight is 2500 grams regardless of the period of pregnancy. LBW babies tend to experience several health problems, one of which is swallowing disorders. Swallowing disorders in LBW babies occur because the development of the baby's sucking and swallowing reflexes is immature so that there is imperfection of coordination between sucking, swallowing and breathing, handling can be done with pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies. Non-pharmacological therapy can be done with oral motor stimulation innovation therapy. The purpose of this study was to analyze nursing care for swallowing disorders with oral motor stimulation therapy in LBW babies. This study uses a descriptive research model with a case study research design in the preparation of the final scientific work of nurses on nursing care for swallowing disorders in LBW babies with oral motor stimulation therapy at Bali Mandara Hospital in 2024. The results showed major and minor data in infants, namely complaining of difficulty swallowing, coughing before swallowing, coughing after drinking, choking. Nursing diagnosis based on the results of the assessment is swallowing disorders, interventions are made with improved swallowing status outcomes. The action taken is the provision of oral motor stimulation therapy. The evaluation obtained after being given nursing care is that the baby's swallowing status and suction reflexes have improved. The conclusion of this study is that oral motor stimulation therapy can improve swallowing status. Keyword : Swallowing disorders, LBW, Oral motor Stimulation. ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN GANGGUAN MENELAN DENGAN TERAPI STIMULASI OROMOTOR PADA BAYI BBLR DI RUANG PERINATOLOGI RSUD BALI MANDARA TAHUN 2024 ABSTRAK Berat badan lahir rendah (BBLR) merupakan bayi baru lahir yang berat badan lahirnya 2500 gram tanpa memandang masa kehamilan. Kelahiran bayi BBLR cenderung mengalami beberapa masalah kesehatan, salah satunya gangguan menelan. Gangguan menelan pada bayi BBLR terjadi karena perkembangan refleks mengisap dan menelan bayi belum matang sehingga terjadi ketidaksempurnaan koordinasi antara mengisap, menelan dan bernapas, penanganan dapat dilakukan dengan terapi farmakologis dan non farmakologis. Terapi non farmakologis dapat dilakukan dengan terapi inovasi stimulasi oromotor. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis asuhan keperawatan gangguan menelan dengan terapi stimulasi oromotor pada bayi BBLR. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian deskriptif dengan rancangan penelitian studi kasus dalam penyusunan karya ilmiah akhir ners tentang asuhan keperawatan gangguan menelan pada bayi BBLR dengan terapi stimulasi oromotor di RSUD Bali Mandara tahun 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan data mayor dan minor pada bayi meliputi mengeluh sulit menelan, batuk sebelum menelan, batuk setelah minum, tersedak. Diagnosis keperawatan berdasarkan hasil pengkajian adalah gangguan menelan, intervensi dibuat dengan luaran status menelan membaik. Tindakan yang dilakukan yaitu pemberian terapi stimulasi oromotor. Evaluasi yang didapatkan setelah diberikan asuhan keperawatan yaitu status menelan dan reflek hisap bayi membaik. Simpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu terapi stimulasi oromotor dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menelan dan mengisap pada bayi BBLR dengan gangguan menelan.
