Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS IN EDERLY PATIENTS AT THE SANJIWANI REGIONAL GENERAL HOSPITAL GIANYAR ABSTRACT Elderly is someone who has entered the age of 60 years and over who has gone through three stages of life, namely children, adults and old people. The prevalence of hemoglobin level examination in the elderly at the Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar in 2022 in January - February is 68.4%. Hemoglobin (Hb or Hgb) is a protein in red blood cells that also contains iron. The level of Hb in the blood of an adult is 13-18 g/dl for men and 12-16 g/dl for women and if the hemoglobin level is low, you will experience anemia. The purpose of this study was to determine the hemoglobin levels in elderly patients at the Sanjiwani Regional General Hospital, Gianyar. This study is a descriptive study is descriptive which was conducted in January-May 2022 using a random sampling technique with a total sample of 43 people. Hemoglobin levels were measured using the cyanmethamoglobin method with a spectrophotometer. The results of normal hemoglobin levels were 24 people (55.81%), the results of low hemoglobin levels were 19 people (44.18%). Low hemoglobin levels were more common found in the elderly aged 60-70 years as many as 13 people (30.23%). Low hemoglobin levels were found more in women, namely 11 people (25.58%). The conclusion of this study is that most of the elderly have normal hemoglobin levels. Low hemoglobin levels are found at the age of 60-70 years and mostly found in women. Keywords: Hemoglobin Level, Elderly GAMBARAN KADAR HEMOGLOBIN PADA PASIEN LANSIA DI RUMAH SAKIT UMUM DAERAH SANJIWANI GIANYAR ABSTRAK Lansia adalah seseorang yang telah memasuki usia 60 tahun ke atas yang telah melalui tiga tahapan kehidupan, yaitu anak, dewasa dan tua. Prevalensi pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin pada lansia di RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar tahun 2022 pada bulan Januari - Februari yaitu 68,4%. Hemoglobin (Hb atau Hgb) adalah protein dalam sel darah merah yang juga mengandung zat besi. Kadar Hb dalam darah orang dewasa adalah 13-18 g/dl untuk laki-laki dan 12-16 g/dl untuk perempuan dan jika kadar hemoglobin rendah maka akan mengalami anemia. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar hemoglobin pada pasien lansia di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Sanjiwani Gianyar. Jenis penelitian yaitu deskriptif yang dilakukan pada bulan Januari-Mei 2022 menggunakan teknik random sampling dengan jumlah sampel yaitu 43 orang. Kadar hemoglobin diukur menggunakan metode cyanmethamoglobin dengan alat spektrofotometer. Hasil kadar hemoglobin normal sebanyak 24 orang (55,81%), hasil kadar hemoglobin rendah yaitu 19 orang (44,18%). Kadar hemoglobin rendah lebih banyak ditemukan pada lansia usia 60-70 tahun sebanyak 13 orang (30,23%). Kadar hemoglobin rendah ditemukan lebih banyak pada perempuan yaitu sebanyak 11 orang (25,58%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar lansia memiliki kadar hemoglobin normal. Kadar hemoglobin rendah lebih banyak pada usia 60-70 tahun serta lebih banyak dialami oleh perempuan.
