Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS OF GOODS TRANSPORTATION LABOR IN THE BADUNG MARKET, DENPASAR CITY IN 2022 ABSTRACT Background: Workers transporting goods at Badung Market, Denpasar City perform manual handling activities, without using tools and work duration of more than 8 hours a day. This causes injury and muscle fatigue, which can increase lactic acid and potentially increase the risk of developing gout. Objective: To determine uric acid levels in goods transport workers at Badung Market, Denpasar City. Research method: This type of research is descriptive. Sampling was based on non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique involving 34 samples. Data was collected by interview and direct sampling. Results: The results showed that uric acid levels in goods transport workers at Badung Market Denpasar City for 34 respondents ranged from 3.3 mg/dL to 18.7 mg/dL, there were 12 respondents with high uric acid levels, and 22 respondents with high uric acid levels. normal uric acid levels. Conclusion: Based on the results, it can be concluded that the risk of developing gout increases starting from the age of 36 years and over, female gender and who often do moderate to strenuous activities. Keywords: Uric Acid Levels, Transport Workers, Lactic Acid, Muscle Fatigue GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT BURUH ANGKUT BARANG DI PASAR BADUNG KOTA DENPASAR TAHUN 2022 ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Buruh angkut barang di Pasar Badung Kota Denpasar melakukan aktivitas manual handling, tanpa menggunakan alat bantu serta durasi kerja lebih dari 8 jam sehari. Hal ini menyebabkan cidera dan kelelahan otot, sehingga dapat meningkatkan asam laktat dan berpotensi meningkatkan resiko terkena asam urat. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui kadar asam urat pada buruh angkut barang di Pasar Badung Kota Denpasar. Metode penelitian: Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel berdasarkan non probability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling yang melibatkan 34 sampel. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan pengambilan sampel langsung. Hasil: Pada hasil penelitian menunjukan kadar asam urat pada buruh angkut barang di Pasar Badung Kota Denpasar terhadap 34 responden berkisar antara 3,3 mg/dL sampai 18,7 mg/dL, terdapat 12 responden dengan kadar asam urat tinggi, dan 22 responden dengan kadar asam urat normal. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil dapat disimpulkan resiko terkena asam urat bertambah dimulai dari usia 36 tahun keatas, berjenis kelamin perempuan dan yang sering melakukan aktivitas sedang sampai berat.
