Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF URINARY CALCIUM OXALATE CRYSTALS ON COFFEE DRINKERS IN BANJAR CEMENGGAON CELUK VILLAGE GIANYAR REGENCY ABSTRACT Urinary tract stones are a condition in which an individual's urinary tract forms stones in the form of crystals that settle from the urine. Coffee is a drink that contains oxalic acid and caffeine. High oxalate intake will cause the deposition of oxalate crystals in urine and will form urinary tract stones. This research aims to determine the description of urinary calcium oxalate crystals in coffee drinkers in Banjar Cemenggaon Celuk Village Gianyar Regency. This is a type of descriptive research. The research was conducted from February to May 2022. The population in this research are coffee drinkers with total sample of 27 people taken by 10% of the population. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Urine samples were examined by microscopic method. The results of the research obtained results of positive one in 5 people (18,52%), positive two in 6 people (22,22%), positive three in 2 people (7,41%), and negative results in 14 people (51,85%). The conclusion of the research was that abnormal calcium oxalate crystals were found mostly in 46-55 years, in males, consuming water <8 glass/day, and drink 3 cups of coffee/day. The suggestions for the respondents are drink enough water, don’t hold urination too often, and reduce coffee consumption. Keywords: coffee drinkers, urine, calcium oxalate crystals GAMBARAN KRISTAL KALSIUM OKSALAT URINE PADA PEMINUM KOPI DI BANJAR CEMENGGAON DESA CELUK KABUPATEN GIANYAR ABSTRAK Batu saluran kemih merupakan suatu kondisi dimana dalam saluran kemih individu terbentuk batu berupa kristal yang mengendap dari urine. Kopi merupakan minuman yang mengandung asam oksalat dan kafein. Asupan oksalat yang tinggi akan menyebabkan terjadinya pengendapan kristal oksalat dalam urine dan akan membentuk batu saluran kemih. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kristal kalsium oksalat urine pada peminum kopi di Banjar Cemenggaon Desa Celuk Kabupaten Gianyar. Jenis penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai Mei 2022. Populasi penelitian adalah peminum kopi dengan besar sampel penelitian sebanyak 27 orang yang diambil 10% dari populasi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu Purposive sampling. Pemeriksaan sampel urine dilakukan dengan metode mikroskopis. Hasil penelitian memperoleh hasil positif satu pada 5 orang (18,52%), hasil positif dua pada 6 orang (22,22%), hasil positif tiga pada 2 orang (7,41%), dan hasil negatif pada 14 orang (51,85%). Simpulan penelitian, kristal kalsium oksalat abnormal ditemukan terbanyak pada rentang usia 46-55 tahun, jenis kelamin laki-laki, memiliki kebiasaan menahan buang air kemih, mengonsumsi air minum <8 gelas ukuran 230ml per hari, serta mengonsumsi kopi 3 gelas per hari. Saran penelitian yaitu minum air yang cukup, tidak menahan buang air kemih terlalu sering, dan kurangi konsumsi kopi. Kata kunci: peminum kopi, urine, kristal kalsium oksalat
