Abstract
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MACRO NUTRITION INTAKE AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY WITH CENTRAL OBESITY STATUS AT DRIVERS IN PT PRAJA BALI TRANSPORTASI ABSTRACT The incidence of central obesity in Indonesia continues to increase. Central obesity is a condition of excess fat in the abdominal area. Lifestyles such as eating high-energy foods, low fiber consumption and low physical activity can cause central obesity which can reduce work productivity. This study aims to determine the relationship between macronutrient intake and physical activity with central obesity status in drivers at PT Praja Bali Trasportasi. This type of research is observational with the research design used is cross section. The population is all drivers who have an active status with the sample selection carried out by incidental sampling. Collecting data in the study using primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from weight, height, abdominal circumference and direct interviews with respondents. The data analysis technique was carried out by univariate and bivariate analysis with the product moment using the SPSS program. The results showed that of the 61 drivers, 62.3% were centrally obese, 45.9% had excess fat consumption, 6.56% had high carbohydrate consumption, and 96.72% had very light physical activity. The conclusion of the study was that there was a significant relationship between the level of fat and carbohydrate intake and central obesity status (p=0.000) and there is no significant relationship between physical activity with central obesity status.
