Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL CULTURAL FACTORS WITH UNMET NEED EVENTS IN THE COUPLES OF REPRODUCTIVE AGE ABSTRACT Unmet need is fertile and sexually active but not using a contraceptive method, while they do not want to have any more children or want to postpone the next child. Unmet need influenced by demographic factors, economics, attitudes, access services, and a phenomenon that often occurs in Bali in tradition Bali hope to have boys. The purpose of the study to identify the relationship between socio-cultural event with unmet need in couples of reproductive age in the village of Nyalian. The study of correlation analytic by using a quantitative approach, the method is cross-sectional. The population of this research are all couples of reproductive age that qualify the criteria for inclusion, as many as 55 respondents. Data collection instruments obtained through interviews using questionnaire. The data collected using Chi Square test (p = 0,019), because the value of p < 0.05 then it can be concluded there is a significant relationship between social cultural factor with unmet need events in couples of reproductive age. This research is expected to be a material consideration for couples of reproductive age, health workers and other researchers about the social factor in the incidence of unmet need. Keywords: Unmet Need, Social Culture, Couples of Reproductive Age HUBUNGAN ANTARA FAKTOR SOSIAL BUDAYA DENGAN KEJADIAN UNMET NEED PADA PASANGAN USIA SUBUR (PUS) ABSTRAK Unmet need adalah wanita subur dan aktif secara seksual namun tidak menggunakan metode kontrasepsi, sedangkan mereka menyatakan tidak ingin punya anak lagi atau ingin menunda anak berikutnya. Unmet need dipengaruhi faktor demografi, ekonomi, sikap, akses pelayanan, dan fenomena yang sering terjadi di Bali yaitu pada adat Bali berharap memiliki anak laki-laki. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan yang terjadi antara sosial budaya dengan angka unmet need pada Pasangan Usia Subur (PUS) di Desa Nyalian. Penelitian ini bersifat analitik korelasi dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, metode cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua Pasangan Usia Subur (PUS) yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi, yaitu sebanyak 55 responden. Instrumen pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Data yang sudah dikumpulkan dianalisa dengan menggunakan uji Chi-Square (p = 0,019), karena nilai p < 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara faktor sosial budaya dengan kejadaian unmet need pada Pasangan Usia Subur (PUS). Diharapkan penelitian ini menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi Pasangan Usia Subur (PUS), petugas kesehatan dan peneliti lainnya mengenai faktor social pada kejadian unmet need.
